32:1-21 = Yakub takut bertemu dengan Esau
(1) Yakub melanjutkan perjalanannya, lalu bertemulah malaikat-malaikat Allah dengan dia.
(1) 야곱이 자기 길을 가고 있는데 하나님의 천사들이 야곱에게 나타났습니다.
(1) {Jacob's Fear of Esau}Then as Jacob went on his way, the angels of God met him [to reassure and protect him].
(2) Ketika Yakub melihat mereka, berkatalah ia: "Ini bala tentara Allah." Sebab itu dinamainyalah tempat itu Mahanaim.
(2) 야곱은 하나님의 천사들을 보고 “이는 하나님의 군대다”라고 말했습니다. 그래서 야곱은 그 곳을 마하나임이라고 불렀습니다.
(2) When Jacob saw them, he said, "This is God's camp." So he named that place Mahanaim (double camps).
(3) Sesudah itu Yakub menyuruh utusannya berjalan lebih dahulu mendapatkan Esau, kakaknya, ke tanah Seir, daerah Edom.
(3) 야곱의 형 에서는 에돔 나라의 세일이라고 하는 지역에서 살고 있었습니다. 야곱이 에서에게 심부름꾼들을 자기보다 먼저 보냈습니다.
(3) Then Jacob sent messengers ahead of him to his brother Esau in the land of Seir, the country of Edom.
(4) Ia memerintahkan kepada mereka: "Beginilah kamu katakan kepada tuanku, kepada Esau: Beginilah kata hambamu Yakub: Aku telah tinggal pada Laban sebagai orang asing dan diam di situ selama ini.
(4) 야곱이 심부름꾼들에게 말했습니다. “내 주 에서에게 이 말을 전하여라. ‘당신의 종인 야곱이 말씀드립니다. 저는 라반과 함께 살며 지금까지 그 곳에 머물러 있었습니다.
(4) He commanded them, saying, "This is what to say to my lord Esau: 'Your servant Jacob says this, "I have been living temporarily with Laban, and have stayed there until now;
(5) Aku telah mempunyai lembu sapi, keledai dan kambing domba, budak laki-laki dan perempuan, dan aku menyuruh memberitahukan hal ini kepada tuanku, supaya aku mendapat kasihmu."
(5) 저에게는 소와 나귀와 가축 떼와 남종과 여종들이 있습니다. 그러므로 제가 이 사람들을 보내어 전하여 드리고, 형님의 은혜를 구하려 합니다.’”
(5) I have oxen, donkeys, flocks, male servants, and female servants; and I have sent [this message] to tell my lord, so that I may find grace and kindness in your sight."'"
(6) Kemudian pulanglah para utusan itu kepada Yakub dan berkata: "Kami telah sampai kepada kakakmu, kepada Esau, dan iapun sedang di jalan menemui engkau, diiringi oleh empat ratus orang."
(6) 심부름꾼들이 야곱에게 돌아와 말했습니다. “주인님의 형님이신 에서에게 다녀왔습니다. 에서는 사백 명을 거느리고 주인님을 만나러 오고 있습니다.”
(6) The messengers returned to Jacob, saying, "We went to your brother Esau, and now he is coming to meet you, and there are four hundred men with him."
(7) Lalu sangat takutlah Yakub dan merasa sesak hati; maka dibaginyalah orang-orangnya yang bersama-sama dengan dia, kambing dombanya, lembu sapi dan untanya menjadi dua pasukan.
(7) 야곱은 그 말을 듣고 너무나 두렵고 낙심이 되었습니다. 야곱은 자기와 함께 있는 사람들을 두 무리로 나누었습니다. 그리고 양 떼와 소 떼와 낙타들도 두 무리로 나누었습니다.
(7) Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed; and he divided the people who were with him, and the flocks and herds and camels, into two camps;
(8) Sebab pikirnya: "Jika Esau datang menyerang pasukan yang satu, sehingga terpukul kalah, maka pasukan yang tinggal akan terluput."
(8) 야곱은 이렇게 생각했습니다. ‘에서가 다가와서 한 무리를 친다 하더라도 나머지 한 무리는 도망칠 수 있을 것이다.’
(8) and he said, "If Esau comes to the one camp and attacks it, then the other camp which is left will escape."
(9) Kemudian berkatalah Yakub: "Ya Allah nenekku Abraham dan Allah ayahku Ishak, ya TUHAN, yang telah berfirman kepadaku: Pulanglah ke negerimu serta kepada sanak saudaramu dan Aku akan berbuat baik kepadamu--
(9) 야곱이 말했습니다. “제 할아버지 아브라함의 하나님, 제 아버지 이삭의 하나님! 하나님께서는 저에게 ‘네 나라, 네 집으로 돌아가거라. 네게 은혜를 베풀어 줄 것이다’ 하고 말씀하셨습니다.
(9) Jacob said, "O God of my father Abraham and God of my father Isaac, the LORD, who said to me, 'Return to your country and to your people, and I will make you prosper,'
(10) sekali-kali aku tidak layak untuk menerima segala kasih dan kesetiaan yang Engkau tunjukkan kepada hamba-Mu ini, sebab aku membawa hanya tongkatku ini waktu aku menyeberangi sungai Yordan ini, tetapi sekarang telah menjadi dua pasukan.
(10) 저는 하나님께서 저에게 베풀어 주신 온갖 은혜와 사랑을 받을 자격이 없는 사람입니다. 제가 처음 요단 강을 건넜을 때, 저에게는 지팡이 하나밖에 없었습니다. 그런데 지금 저에게는 재산을 둘로 나눌 수 있을 만큼 많은 재산이 있습니다.
(10) I am unworthy of all the lovingkindness and compassion and of all the faithfulness which You have shown to Your servant. With only my staff [long ago] I crossed over this Jordan, and now I have become [blessed and increased into these] two groups [of people].
(11) Lepaskanlah kiranya aku dari tangan kakakku, dari tangan Esau, sebab aku takut kepadanya, jangan-jangan ia datang membunuh aku, juga ibu-ibu dengan anak-anaknya.
(11) 제발 저를 제 형 에서로부터 구해 주십시오. 에서가 와서 저와 아이들의 어머니와 아이들까지 해치지 않도록 해 주십시오.
(11) Save me, please, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau; for I fear him, that he will come and attack me and the mothers with the children.
(12) Bukankah Engkau telah berfirman: Tentu Aku akan berbuat baik kepadamu dan menjadikan keturunanmu sebagai pasir di laut, yang karena banyaknya tidak dapat dihitung."
(12) 하나님께서는 저에게 ‘내가 너에게 은혜를 베풀겠다. 내가 네 자손을 바다의 모래처럼 셀 수도 없이 많게 해 주겠다’고 말씀하지 않으셨습니까?”
(12) And You [LORD] said, 'I will certainly make you prosper and make your descendants as [numerous as] the sand of the sea, which is too great to be counted.'"
(13) Lalu bermalamlah ia di sana pada malam itu. Kemudian diambilnyalah dari apa yang ada padanya suatu persembahan untuk Esau, kakaknya,
(13) 그 날 밤, 야곱은 거기에서 묵었습니다. 야곱은 자기가 가진 것 중에서 에서에게 줄 선물을 준비했습니다.
(13) So Jacob spent the night there. Then he selected a present for his brother Esau from the livestock he had acquired:
(14) yaitu dua ratus kambing betina dan dua puluh kambing jantan, dua ratus domba betina dan dua puluh domba jantan,
(14) 야곱이 준비한 선물은 암염소 이백 마리와 숫염소 이십 마리, 암양 이백 마리와 숫양 이십 마리,
(14) two hundred female goats, twenty male goats, two hundred ewes, twenty rams,
(15) tiga puluh unta yang sedang menyusui beserta anak-anaknya, empat puluh lembu betina dan sepuluh lembu jantan, dua puluh keledai betina dan sepuluh keledai jantan.
(15) 젖을 먹이는 암낙타 삼십 마리와 그 새끼 낙타들, 암소 사십 마리와 황소 열 마리, 암나귀 이십 마리와 새끼 나귀 열 마리였습니다.
(15) thirty milking camels with their colts, forty cows, ten bulls, twenty female donkeys, and ten [donkey] colts.
(16) Diserahkannyalah semuanya itu kepada budak-budaknya untuk dijaga, tiap-tiap kumpulan tersendiri, dan ia berkata kepada mereka: "Berjalanlah kamu lebih dahulu dan jagalah supaya ada jarak antara kumpulan yang satu dengan kumpulan yang lain."
(16) 야곱은 이것들을 각각 떼로 나누어 자기 종들에게 주면서 말했습니다. “나보다 먼저 가거라. 그리고 가축 떼와 가축 떼 사이에 거리를 두어라.”
(16) He put them into the care of his servants, every herd by itself, and said to his servants, "Go on ahead of me, and put an interval [of space] between the individual herds."
(17) Diperintahkannyalah kepada yang paling di muka: "Apabila Esau, kakakku, bertemu dengan engkau dan bertanya kepadamu: Siapakah tuanmu? dan ke manakah engkau pergi? dan milik siapakah ternak yang di depanmu itu? --
(17) 야곱은 종들에게 명령을 했습니다. 첫 번째 가축 떼를 몰고 가는 종에게는 이렇게 말했습니다. “내 형 에서가 너에게 다가와서 ‘너는 누구의 종이며 어디로 가는 길이냐? 이 짐승들은 누구의 것이냐?’ 하고 물으면
(17) Then he commanded the one in front, saying, "When Esau my brother meets you and asks to whom you belong, and where you are going, and whose are the animals in front of you?
(18) jawablah: milik hambamu Yakub; inilah persembahan yang dikirim kepada tuanku Esau, dan Yakub sendiripun ada di belakang kami."
(18) 너는 이렇게 대답하여라. ‘이 짐승들은 주인님의 종 야곱의 것으로서 에서 주인님께 드리는 선물입니다. 야곱도 저희들 뒤에 오고 있습니다.’”
(18) then you shall say, 'They are your servant Jacob's; they are a gift sent to my lord Esau. And he also is behind us.'"
(19) Begitulah diperintahkannya baik kepada yang kedua maupun kepada yang ketiga dan kepada sekalian orang yang berjalan menggiring kumpulan hewan itu, katanya: "Seperti perkataanku tadilah kamu katakan kepada Esau, apabila kamu berjumpa dengan dia;
(19) 야곱은 두 번째 종과 세 번째 종과 가축 떼를 따라가는 그 밖의 모든 종들에게도 똑같은 명령을 내렸습니다. “에서를 만나거든 똑같이
(19) And so Jacob commanded the second and the third as well, and all that followed the herds, saying, "This is what you shall say to Esau when you meet him;
(20) dan kamu harus mengatakan juga: Hambamu Yakub sendiri ada di belakang kami." Sebab pikir Yakub: "Baiklah aku mendamaikan hatinya dengan persembahan yang diantarkan lebih dahulu, kemudian barulah aku akan melihat mukanya; mungkin ia akan menerima aku dengan baik."
(20) ‘주인님의 종 야곱은 저희들 뒤에 오고 있습니다’라고 말하여라.” 야곱은 이렇게 생각했습니다. ‘내가 가기 전에 먼저 이 선물을 주면 형의 마음이 풀어질지도 모른다. 그런 다음에 형을 만나면 형이 나를 맞아 줄 것이다.’
(20) and you shall say, 'Look, your servant Jacob is behind us.'" For he said [to himself], "I will try to appease him with the gift that is going ahead of me. Then afterward I will see him; perhaps he will accept and forgive me."
(21) Jadi persembahan itu diantarkan lebih dahulu, tetapi ia sendiri bermalam pada malam itu di tempat perkemahannya.
(21) 그래서 야곱은 에서에게 먼저 선물을 보냈습니다. 그리고 야곱은 그 날 밤, 천막에서 묵었습니다.
(21) So the gift [of the herds of livestock] went on ahead of him, and he himself spent that night back in the camp.
32:22-32 = Pergumulan Yakub dengan Allah
(22) Pada malam itu Yakub bangun dan ia membawa kedua isterinya, kedua budaknya perempuan dan kesebelas anaknya, dan menyeberang di tempat penyeberangan sungai Yabok.
(22) 그 날 밤, 야곱은 자리에서 일어나 두 아내와 두 여종과 열한 명의 아들을 데리고 얍복 강 나루를 건넜습니다.
(22) But he got up that same night and took his two wives, his two female servants, and his eleven children, and waded over the ford of the Jabbok.
(23) Sesudah ia menyeberangkan mereka, ia menyeberangkan juga segala miliknya.
(23) 야곱은 자기의 가족 모두와 자기의 모든 재산을 강 건너편으로 보냈습니다.
(23) Then he took them and sent them across the brook. And he also sent across whatever he had.
(24) Lalu tinggallah Yakub seorang diri. Dan seorang laki-laki bergulat dengan dia sampai fajar menyingsing.
(24) 그리고 자신은 홀로 뒤에 남았습니다. 어떤 사람이 와서 밤새도록 야곱과 씨름을 했습니다.
(24) {Jacob Wrestles}So Jacob was left alone, and a Man [came and] wrestled with him until daybreak.
(25) Ketika orang itu melihat, bahwa ia tidak dapat mengalahkannya, ia memukul sendi pangkal paha Yakub, sehingga sendi pangkal paha itu terpelecok, ketika ia bergulat dengan orang itu.
(25) 그 사람은 야곱을 이길 수 없다는 것을 알고, 야곱의 엉덩이뼈를 쳐서 엉덩이뼈를 어긋나게 만들었습니다.
(25) When the Man saw that He had not prevailed against Jacob, He touched his hip joint; and Jacob's hip was dislocated as he wrestled with Him.
(26) Lalu kata orang itu: "Biarkanlah aku pergi, karena fajar telah menyingsing." Sahut Yakub: "Aku tidak akan membiarkan engkau pergi, jika engkau tidak memberkati aku."
(26) 그 사람이 야곱에게 말했습니다. “날이 새려고 하니 나를 놓아 다오.” 하지만 야곱이 말했습니다. “저에게 복을 주시지 않으면 보내 드릴 수 없습니다.”
(26) Then He said, "Let Me go, for day is breaking." But Jacob said, "I will not let You go unless You declare a blessing on me."
(27) Bertanyalah orang itu kepadanya: "Siapakah namamu?" Sahutnya: "Yakub."
(27) 그 사람이 야곱에게 말했습니다. “네 이름이 무엇이냐?” 야곱이 대답했습니다. “야곱입니다.”
(27) So He asked him, "What is your name?" And he said, "Jacob."
(28) Lalu kata orang itu: "Namamu tidak akan disebutkan lagi Yakub, tetapi Israel, sebab engkau telah bergumul melawan Allah dan manusia, dan engkau menang."
(28) 그 사람이 말했습니다. “네 이름은 이제부터 야곱이 아니라 이스라엘이다. 네가 하나님과 씨름했고, 사람과도 씨름을 해서 이겼기 때문이다.”
(28) And He said, "Your name shall no longer be Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men and have prevailed."
(29) Bertanyalah Yakub: "Katakanlah juga namamu." Tetapi sahutnya: "Mengapa engkau menanyakan namaku?" Lalu diberkatinyalah Yakub di situ.
(29) 야곱이 그 사람에게 물었습니다. “당신의 이름을 가르쳐 주십시오.” 그러자 그 사람이 말했습니다. “왜 내 이름을 묻느냐?” 하며 그 자리에서 야곱에게 복을 주었습니다.
(29) Then Jacob asked Him, "Please tell me Your name." But He said, "Why is it that you ask My name?" And He declared a blessing [of the covenant promises] on Jacob there.
(30) Yakub menamai tempat itu Pniel, sebab katanya: "Aku telah melihat Allah berhadapan muka, tetapi nyawaku tertolong!"
(30) 그래서 야곱은 그 곳을 브니엘이라고 불렀습니다. 야곱이 말했습니다. “나는 하나님의 얼굴을 보고도 죽지 않고 살았다.”
(30) So Jacob named the place Peniel (the face of God), saying, "For I have seen God face to face, yet my life has not been snatched away."
(31) Lalu tampaklah kepadanya matahari terbit, ketika ia telah melewati Pniel; dan Yakub pincang karena pangkal pahanya.
(31) 야곱이 그 곳을 떠나려 할 때에 해가 떠올랐습니다. 야곱은 엉덩이 때문에 다리를 절뚝거렸습니다.
(31) Now the sun rose on him as he passed Penuel (Peniel), and he was limping because of his hip.
(32) Itulah sebabnya sampai sekarang orang Israel tidak memakan daging yang menutupi sendi pangkal paha, karena Dia telah memukul sendi pangkal paha Yakub, pada otot pangkal pahanya.
(32) 브니엘에서 나타난 사람이 야곱의 엉덩이뼈를 쳤기 때문에, 지금도 이스라엘 사람들은 엉덩이뼈에 붙어 있는 큰 힘줄을 먹지 않습니다.
(32) Therefore, to this day the Israelites do not eat the tendon of the hip which is on the socket of the thigh, because He touched the socket of Jacob's thigh by the tendon of the hip.
