(1) Iblis bangkit melawan orang Israel dan ia membujuk Daud untuk menghitung orang Israel.
(1) 사탄이 이스라엘을 괴롭히려고 일어났습니다. 사탄이 다윗의 마음속에 이스라엘 백성의 수를 세어 보고 싶은 욕심을 주었습니다.
(1) {Census Brings Pestilence}Satan [the adversary] stood up against Israel and incited David to count [the population of] Israel.
(2) Lalu berkatalah Daud kepada Yoab dan kepada para pemuka rakyat: "Pergilah, hitunglah orang Israel dari Bersyeba sampai Dan, dan bawalah hasilnya kepadaku, supaya aku tahu jumlah mereka."
(2) 다윗이 요압과 군대 지휘관들에게 말했습니다. “가서 브엘세바에서부터 단에 이르기까지 모든 이스라엘 백성의 수를 세시오. 그래서 그 수가 얼마나 되는지 나에게 알려 주시오.”
(2) So David said to Joab and the leaders of the people, "Go, count Israel from Beersheba to Dan, and bring me their total, so that I may know it."
(3) Lalu berkatalah Yoab: "Kiranya TUHAN menambahi rakyat-Nya seratus kali lipat dari pada yang ada sekarang. Ya tuanku raja, bukankah mereka sekalian, hamba-hamba tuanku? Mengapa tuanku menuntut hal ini? Mengapa orang Israel harus menanggung kesalahan oleh karena hal itu?"
(3) 요압이 대답했습니다. “여호와께서는 왕에게 백 배나 더 많은 백성을 주시기 원하십니다. 내 주 왕이시여, 모든 이스라엘 백성이 다 왕의 종이 아닙니까? 그런데 어찌하여 이런 일을 하려 하십니까?”
(3) Joab said, "May the LORD add to His people a hundred times as many as they are! But, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? Why then does my lord require this? Why will he bring guilt on Israel?"
(4) Namun titah raja itu terpaksa diikuti oleh Yoab, maka pergilah Yoab menjelajahi seluruh Israel, kemudian kembali ke Yerusalem.
(4) 그래도 다윗 왕은 요압에게 명령대로 하라고 했습니다. 그래서 요압은 다윗 앞에서 물러나와 온 이스라엘을 다니며 인구 조사를 한 다음, 예루살렘으로 돌아왔습니다.
(4) But the king's word prevailed over Joab. So Joab left and went throughout all Israel and came to Jerusalem.
(5) Lalu Yoab memberitahukan kepada Daud hasil pendaftaran rakyat. Di antara seluruh orang Israel ada sejuta seratus ribu orang yang dapat memegang pedang, dan orang Yehuda ada empat ratus tujuh puluh ribu orang yang dapat memegang pedang.
(5) 요압이 왕에게 백성의 수를 보고했습니다. 이스라엘에는 칼을 쓸 수 있는 사람이 모두 백십만 명이었고, 유다에는 사십칠만 명이 있었습니다.
(5) Then Joab gave the total of the census of the people to David. And all Israel were 1,100,000 men who drew the sword; and in Judah 470,000 men who drew the sword.
(6) Orang Lewi dan Benyamin tidak dimasukkannya dalam pendaftaran, sebab titah raja itu dianggap keji oleh Yoab.
(6) 그러나 요압은 다윗 왕의 명령을 못마땅하게 여겨 레위 지파와 베냐민 지파의 수는 계산하지 않았습니다.
(6) But he did not count Levi and Benjamin among them, because the king's order was detestable to Joab.
(7) Tetapi hal itu jahat di mata Allah, sebab itu dihajar-Nya orang Israel.
(7) 하나님께서도 이 일을 못마땅하게 생각하셨습니다. 그래서 이스라엘에게 벌을 내리셨습니다.
(7) Now God was displeased with this act [of arrogance and pride], and He struck Israel.
(8) Lalu berkatalah Daud kepada Allah: "Aku telah sangat berdosa karena melakukan hal ini; maka sekarang, jauhkanlah kiranya kesalahan hamba-Mu, sebab perbuatanku itu sangat bodoh."
(8) 다윗이 하나님께 말했습니다. “제가 큰 죄를 지었습니다. 제발 저의 죄를 용서해 주십시오. 제가 너무나 어리석은 일을 했습니다.”
(8) Then David said to God, "I have sinned greatly because I have done this thing. But now, I beseech You, take away the wickedness and guilt of Your servant, for I have acted very foolishly."
(9) Tetapi berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Gad, pelihat Daud:
(9) 여호와께서 다윗의 선견자 갓에게 말씀하셨습니다.
(9) And the LORD said to Gad, David's seer,
(10) Pergilah, katakanlah kepada Daud: Beginilah firman TUHAN: tiga perkara Kuhadapkan kepadamu; pilihlah salah satu dari padanya, maka Aku akan melakukannya kepadamu.
(10) “가서 다윗에게 이렇게 전하여라.‘내가 너에게 세 가지 벌을 보여 줄 테니 그 중에서 하나를 골라라. 네가 고른 대로 너에게 벌을 내리겠다.’”
(10) "Go and tell David, saying, 'Thus says the LORD, "I offer you three choices; choose for yourself one of them, which I will do to you [as punishment for your sin]."'"
(11) Kemudian datanglah Gad kepada Daud, lalu berkatalah ia kepadanya: "Beginilah firman TUHAN: Haruslah engkau memilih:
(11) 갓이 다윗에게 가서 말했습니다. “여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. ‘네가 받을 벌을 골라라.
(11) So Gad came to David and said to him, "Thus says the LORD: 'Choose for yourself
(12) tiga tahun kelaparan atau tiga bulan lamanya melarikan diri dari hadapan lawanmu, sedang pedang musuhmu menyusul engkau, atau tiga hari pedang TUHAN, yakni penyakit sampar, ada di negeri ini, dan malaikat TUHAN mendatangkan kemusnahan di seluruh daerah orang Israel. Maka sekarang, timbanglah jawab apa yang harus kusampaikan kepada Yang mengutus aku."
(12) 삼 년 동안, 가뭄이 들게 할 것인지, 칼을 들고 쫓아오는 원수를 피해 세 달 동안, 숨어 다닐 것인지, 아니면 삼 일 동안, 여호와께서 내리시는 칼을 받을 것인지 결정하여라. 그 삼 일 동안은 온 나라에 무서운 병이 돌 것이다. 여호와의 천사가 온 이스라엘을 두루 돌아다니며 백성을 칠 것이다.’ 이제 저를 보내신 이에게 대답할 말을 정해 주십시오.”
(12) either three years of famine, or three months to be swept away before your enemies, while the sword of your enemies overtakes you, or else three days of the sword of the LORD and plague in the land, and the angel of the LORD bringing destruction throughout all the territory of Israel.' Now therefore, consider what answer I shall return to Him who sent me."
(13) Lalu berkatalah Daud kepada Gad: "Sangat susah hatiku, biarlah kiranya aku jatuh ke dalam tangan TUHAN, sebab sangat besar kasih sayang-Nya; tetapi janganlah aku jatuh ke dalam tangan manusia."
(13) 다윗이 갓에게 말했습니다. “너무나 고통스럽소. 사람들 손에 벌을 받는 것은 싫소. 여호와께서는 매우 자비로우신 분이오. 그러니 여호와께서 주시는 벌을 받는 편이 낫겠소.”
(13) David said to Gad, "I am in great distress; please let me fall into the hands of the LORD, for His mercies are very great; but do not let me fall into the hand of man."
(14) Jadi TUHAN mendatangkan penyakit sampar kepada orang Israel, maka tewaslah dari orang Israel tujuh puluh ribu orang.
(14) 여호와께서 이스라엘에 무서운 병을 내리사 칠만 명이나 되는 사람이 죽었습니다.
(14) So the LORD sent a plague on Israel, and 70,000 men of Israel fell.
(15) Pula Allah mengutus malaikat ke Yerusalem untuk memusnahkannya, dan ketika hendak dimusnahkannya, maka TUHAN melihatnya, lalu menyesallah Ia karena malapetaka yang hendak didatangkan-Nya itu, lalu berfirmanlah Ia kepada malaikat pemusnah itu: "Cukup! Turunkanlah sekarang tanganmu itu!" Pada waktu itu malaikat TUHAN itu sedang berdiri dekat tempat pengirikan Ornan, orang Yebus.
(15) 하나님께서 천사를 보내시어 예루살렘을 치게 하셨습니다. 천사가 예루살렘을 멸망시키려 사람들을 치자 여호와께서 그 모습을 보시고 마음을 돌이키셨습니다. 여호와께서 벌을 주고 있는 천사에게 말씀하셨습니다. “이젠 되었다. 그만두어라.” 그 때, 여호와의 천사는 여부스 사람 오르난의 타작 마당 곁에 서 있었습니다.
(15) God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it; and as he was destroying it, the LORD looked, and relented concerning the catastrophe and said to the destroying angel, "It is enough; now remove your hand [of judgment]." And the angel of the LORD was standing by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
(16) Ketika Daud mengangkat mukanya, maka dilihatnyalah malaikat TUHAN berdiri di antara bumi dan langit, dengan di tangannya pedang terhunus yang diacungkan ke atas Yerusalem. Lalu dengan berpakaian kain kabung sujudlah Daud dan para tua-tua.
(16) 다윗이 눈을 들어 보니, 여호와의 천사가 하늘과 땅 사이에 서서 칼을 빼어 손에 들고 예루살렘을 겨누고 있었습니다. 그 모습을 보고 다윗과 장로들이 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드렸습니다. 그들은 슬픔을 나타내는 베옷을 입고 있었습니다.
(16) Then David raised his eyes and saw the angel of the LORD standing between earth and heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, covered in sackcloth, fell on their faces.
(17) Dan berkatalah Daud kepada Allah: "Bukankah aku ini yang menyuruh menghitung rakyat dan aku sendirilah yang telah berdosa dan yang melakukan kejahatan, tetapi domba-domba ini, apakah yang dilakukan mereka? Ya TUHAN, Allahku, biarlah kiranya tangan-Mu menimpa aku dan kaum keluargaku, tetapi janganlah tulah menimpa umat-Mu."
(17) 다윗이 하나님께 말했습니다. “백성의 인구를 조사하라고 명령한 사람은 제가 아니었습니까? 제가 죄를 지었습니다. 제가 잘못했습니다. 이 백성들은 양처럼 저를 따르기만 했습니다. 그들이 무슨 잘못을 했습니까? 나의 하나님 여호와여, 저와 제 집안에만 벌을 내려 주십시오. 주의 백성을 죽이고 있는 이 무서운 병을 멈춰 주십시오.”
(17) David said to God, "Is it not I who commanded the people to be counted? I am the one who has sinned and done evil; but as for these sheep [the people of Israel], what have they done? O LORD my God, please let Your hand be against me and my father's house, but not against Your people that they should be plagued."

(18) Kemudian malaikat TUHAN menyuruh Gad mengatakan kepada Daud, bahwa Daud harus pergi untuk mendirikan mezbah bagi TUHAN di tempat pengirikan Ornan, orang Yebus itu.
(18) 그러자 여호와의 천사가 갓을 통해 다윗에게 명령했습니다. “여부스 사람 오르난의 타작 마당에 제단을 쌓아 여호와께 예배를 드려라.”
(18) {David's Altar}Then the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up and build an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
(19) Lalu pergilah Daud, sesuai dengan perkataan Gad yang diucapkannya demi nama TUHAN.
(19) 갓이 여호와의 이름으로 말씀을 전하자, 다윗은 순종하여 오르난의 타작 마당으로 갔습니다.
(19) So David went up at Gad's word, which he spoke in the name of the LORD.
(20) Ornan sedang mengirik gandum; ketika ia memalingkan diri, dilihatnyalah malaikat itu; keempat anaknya yang bersama-sama dengan dia menyembunyikan diri.
(20) 오르난이 밀을 타작하다 몸을 돌려 보니, 천사가 있었습니다. 그와 함께 있던 그의 네 아들이 몸을 숨겼습니다.
(20) Now Ornan was threshing wheat, and he turned back and saw the angel; and his four sons who were with him hid themselves.
(21) Ketika Daud sampai kepada Ornan, maka Ornan mengangkat mukanya dan melihat Daud, lalu keluarlah ia dari tempat pengirikan, kemudian sujudlah ia kepada Daud dengan mukanya ke tanah.
(21) 다윗이 오르난에게 갔습니다. 오르난은 다윗이 오는 것을 보고 밖으로 나가 얼굴을 땅에 대고 절을 했습니다.
(21) As David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw him, and went out from the threshing floor and bowed down before David with his face to the ground.
(22) Berkatalah Daud kepada Ornan: "Berikanlah kepadaku tempat pengirikan ini, supaya aku mendirikan di sini mezbah bagi TUHAN; baiklah berikan itu kepadaku dengan harga penuh, supaya tulah ini berhenti menimpa rakyat."
(22) 다윗이 오르난에게 말했습니다. “여호와께 제단을 쌓으려 하니 이 타작 마당을 나에게 파시오. 그러면 이 무서운 병이 그칠 것이오. 값은 넉넉히 계산해 주겠소.”
(22) Then David said to Ornan, "Give me the site of this threshing floor, so that I may build an altar on it to the LORD. You shall charge me the full price for it, so that the plague may be averted from the people."
(23) Jawab Ornan kepada Daud: "Ambillah, dan baiklah tuanku raja melakukan apa yang dipandangnya baik. Lihatlah, aku berikan lembu ini untuk korban bakaran dan eretan-eretan pengirik ini untuk kayu bakar dan gandum untuk korban sajian, semuanya itu kuberikan."
(23) 오르난이 다윗에게 말했습니다. “이 타작 마당을 가지십시오. 내 주 왕이시여, 좋으실 대로 하십시오. 태워 드리는 제물인 번제물로 쓸 소와 땔감으로 쓸 타작 판과 곡식 제물로 쓸 밀을 드리겠습니다. 모두 다 왕에게 드리겠습니다.”
(23) Ornan said to David, "Take it for yourself; and let my lord the king do what is good in his eyes. See, I will give you the oxen also for burnt offerings and the threshing sledges (heavy wooden platforms) for wood and the wheat for the grain offering; I give it all."
(24) Tetapi berkatalah raja Daud kepada Ornan: "Bukan begitu, melainkan aku mau membelinya dengan harga penuh, sebab aku tidak mau mengambil milikmu untuk TUHAN dan tidak mau mempersembahkan korban bakaran dengan tidak membayar apa-apa."
(24) 왕이 오르난에게 대답했습니다. “아니오. 제 값을 다 주고 사겠소. 그대의 것을 가져다가 여호와께 드리지는 않겠소. 거저 얻은 것을 태워 드리는 제물인 번제물로 바칠 수는 없소.”
(24) But King David said to Ornan, "No, I will certainly pay the full price; for I will not take what is yours for the LORD, nor offer a burnt offering which costs me nothing."
(25) Maka Daud memberikan kepada Ornan sebagai bayaran tempat itu emas seberat enam ratus syikal.
(25) 그리하여 다윗은 금 육백 세겔을 주고 그 땅을 샀습니다.
(25) So David gave Ornan 600 shekels of gold by weight for the site.
(26) Lalu Daud mendirikan di sana mezbah bagi TUHAN, mempersembahkan korban bakaran dan korban keselamatan dan memanggil TUHAN. Maka TUHAN menjawab dia dengan menurunkan api dari langit ke atas mezbah korban bakaran itu.
(26) 다윗은 그 곳에서 여호와께 제단을 쌓고 태워 드리는 제사인 번제와 화목제를 드렸습니다. 다윗이 여호와의 이름을 부르자 여호와께서는 하늘로부터 번제물을 바치는 제단 위로 불을 내리사 그의 기도에 응답해 주셨습니다.
(26) Then David built an altar to the LORD there and presented burnt offerings and peace offerings. And he called on the LORD, and He answered him with fire from heaven on the altar of burnt offering.
(27) Lalu berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada malaikat itu supaya dikembalikannya pedangnya ke dalam sarungnya.
(27) 여호와께서 천사에게 칼을 칼집에 꽂으라고 명령하셨습니다.
(27) Then the LORD commanded the [avenging] angel, and he put his sword back into its sheath.
(28) Pada waktu itu juga Daud mempersembahkan korban di sana, ketika ia melihat, bahwa TUHAN telah menjawab dia di tempat pengirikan Ornan, orang Yebus itu.
(28) 다윗은 여호와께서 오르난의 타작 마당에서 자기에게 대답해 주신 것을 보고 그 곳에서 제사를 드렸습니다.
(28) At that time, when David saw that the LORD had answered him on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, he sacrificed there.
(29) Kemah Suci, yang dibuat Musa di padang gurun, dan mezbah korban bakaran pada waktu itu ada di bukit pengorbanan di Gibeon,
(29) 그 때에 여호와의 성막과 번제단은 기브온 언덕에 있었습니다. 그 성막은 이스라엘 백성이 광야에 있을 때, 모세가 만든 것입니다.
(29) For the tabernacle of the LORD, which Moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of burnt offering were at that time in the high place at Gibeon.
(30) tetapi Daud tidak berani pergi ke sana berhadapan dengan Allah untuk menanyakan petunjuk-Nya, sebab ia takut kepada pedang malaikat TUHAN itu.
(30) 그러나 다윗은 여호와의 천사와 그의 칼이 무서워 그 성막으로 들어가 하나님의 뜻을 여쭈어 볼 수 없었습니다.
(30) But David could not go before it to inquire of God, for he was terrified by the sword of the angel of the LORD.
