1:1-22 = Orang Israel ditindas di Mesir
(1) Inilah nama para anak Israel yang datang ke Mesir bersama-sama dengan Yakub; mereka datang dengan keluarganya masing-masing:
(1) 야곱과 함께 가족을 데리고 이집트로 내려간 이스라엘의 아들들의 이름은
(1) {Israel Multiplies in Egypt}Now these are the names of the sons of Israel who came to Egypt with Jacob; each came with his household:
(2) Ruben, Simeon, Lewi dan Yehuda;
(2) 르우벤, 시므온, 레위, 유다,
(2) Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah;
(3) Isakhar, Zebulon dan Benyamin;
(3) 잇사갈, 스불론, 베냐민,
(3) Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin;
(4) Dan serta Naftali, Gad dan Asyer.
(4) 단, 납달리, 갓, 아셀입니다.
(4) Dan and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
(5) Seluruh keturunan yang diperoleh Yakub berjumlah tujuh puluh jiwa. Tetapi Yusuf telah ada di Mesir.
(5) 야곱의 자손은 모두 칠십 명이었습니다. 야곱의 아들 요셉은 이미 이집트에 가 있었습니다.
(5) All the descendants of Jacob were seventy people; Joseph was [already] in Egypt.
(6) Kemudian matilah Yusuf, serta semua saudara-saudaranya dan semua orang yang seangkatan dengan dia.
(6) 얼마 후에 요셉과 그의 형제들과 그 시대에 살았던 사람들은 다 죽었습니다.
(6) Then Joseph died, and all his brothers and all that generation,
(7) Orang-orang Israel beranak cucu dan tak terbilang jumlahnya; mereka bertambah banyak dan dengan dahsyat berlipat ganda, sehingga negeri itu dipenuhi mereka.
(7) 그러나 이스라엘 백성은 자녀를 많이 낳아 그 수가 크게 늘어났습니다. 그들은 매우 강해졌고, 이집트는 그들로 가득 차게 되었습니다.
(7) but the Israelites were prolific and increased greatly; they multiplied and became extremely strong, so that the land was filled with them.
(8) Kemudian bangkitlah seorang raja baru memerintah tanah Mesir, yang tidak mengenal Yusuf.
(8) 그 때에 새 왕이 이집트를 다스리기 시작했습니다. 그 왕은 요셉이 누구인지를 알지 못했습니다.
(8) Now a new king arose over Egypt, who did not know Joseph [nor the history of his accomplishments].
(9) Berkatalah raja itu kepada rakyatnya: "Bangsa Israel itu sangat banyak dan lebih besar jumlahnya dari pada kita.
(9) 그 왕이 자기 백성 이집트 사람들에게 말했습니다. “이스라엘 백성이 너무 많아서, 그들은 우리보다도 강해졌다.
(9) He said to his people, "Behold, the people of the sons of Israel are too many and too mighty for us [they greatly outnumber us].
(10) Marilah kita bertindak dengan bijaksana terhadap mereka, supaya mereka jangan bertambah banyak lagi dan--jika terjadi peperangan--jangan bersekutu nanti dengan musuh kita dan memerangi kita, lalu pergi dari negeri ini."
(10) 그러니 그들에 대해서 무슨 계획을 세워야 하겠다. 그렇게 하지 않으면 그들의 수가 더 늘어나게 되어 만약 전쟁이라도 일어나면, 그들은 우리들의 적과 한편이 되어서 우리와 맞서 싸운 후에 이 나라에서 떠날 것이다.”
(10) Come, let us deal shrewdly with them, so that they will not multiply and in the event of war, join our enemies, and fight against us and escape from the land."
(11) Sebab itu pengawas-pengawas rodi ditempatkan atas mereka untuk menindas mereka dengan kerja paksa: mereka harus mendirikan bagi Firaun kota-kota perbekalan, yakni Pitom dan Raamses.
(11) 그래서 이집트 사람들은 이스라엘 백성에게 힘든 일을 시켰습니다. 그들은 이스라엘 백성을 다스릴 노예 감독들을 두었습니다. 노예 감독들은 이스라엘 백성에게 강제로 일을 시켜서, 파라오를 위해 비돔과 라암셋 성을 짓게 했습니다. 그 성은 이집트 사람들이 물건을 쌓아 둘 수 있는 창고 성이었습니다.
(11) So they set taskmasters over them to oppress them with hard labor. And the sons of Israel built Pithom and Raamses as storage cities for Pharaoh.
(12) Tetapi makin ditindas, makin bertambah banyak dan berkembang mereka, sehingga orang merasa takut kepada orang Israel itu.
(12) 이집트 사람들은 이스라엘 백성에게 더 힘든 일을 시켰습니다. 그래도 이스라엘 백성의 수는 더 늘어났습니다. 그러자 이집트 사람들은 이스라엘 백성을 더욱 두려워하여
(12) But the more the Egyptians oppressed them, the more they multiplied and expanded, so that the Egyptians dreaded and were exasperated by the Israelites.
(13) Lalu dengan kejam orang Mesir memaksa orang Israel bekerja,
(13) 이스라엘 백성에게 더욱더 고된 일을 시키고
(13) And the Egyptians made the Israelites serve rigorously [forcing them into severe slavery].
(14) dan memahitkan hidup mereka dengan pekerjaan yang berat, yaitu mengerjakan tanah liat dan batu bata, dan berbagai-bagai pekerjaan di padang, ya segala pekerjaan yang dengan kejam dipaksakan orang Mesir kepada mereka itu.
(14) 그들을 괴롭혔습니다. 이집트 사람들이 이스라엘 백성에게 힘든 노동, 곧 흙 이기기와 벽돌 굽기와 힘겨운 밭일을 시켰기 때문에 이스라엘 백성들의 일은 더욱 힘들게 되었습니다.
(14) They made their lives bitter with hard labor in mortar, brick, and all kinds of field work. All their labor was harsh and severe.
(15) Raja Mesir juga memerintahkan kepada bidan-bidan yang menolong perempuan Ibrani, seorang bernama Sifra dan yang lain bernama Pua, katanya:
(15) 십브라와 부아라고 하는 히브리 산파들이 있었습니다. 이 산파들은 히브리 여자들이 아기 낳는 것을 도와 주는 일을 했습니다. 이집트 왕이 이 산파들에게 말했습니다.
(15) Then the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom was named Shiphrah (beauty) and the other named Puah (splendor),
(16) Apabila kamu menolong perempuan Ibrani pada waktu bersalin, kamu harus memperhatikan waktu anak itu lahir: jika anak laki-laki, kamu harus membunuhnya, tetapi jika anak perempuan, bolehlah ia hidup.
(16) “히브리 여자들이 아기 낳는 것을 도와 주다가 분만대 위에서 잘 살펴보고 만약 아기가 딸이면, 그 아기를 살려 주고 아들이면 죽여 버려라!”
(16) "When you act as midwives to the Hebrew women and see them on the birthstool, if it is a son, you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, she shall live."
(17) Tetapi bidan-bidan itu takut akan Allah dan tidak melakukan seperti yang dikatakan raja Mesir kepada mereka, dan membiarkan bayi-bayi itu hidup.
(17) 하지만 그 산파들은 하나님을 두려워하는 사람들이었습니다. 그래서 그 산파들은 왕이 명령한 대로 하지 않았습니다. 그들은 남자 아이들도 다 살려 주었습니다.
(17) But the midwives feared God [with profound reverence] and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded, but they let the boy babies live.
(18) Lalu raja Mesir memanggil bidan-bidan itu dan bertanya kepada mereka: "Mengapakah kamu berbuat demikian membiarkan hidup bayi-bayi itu?"
(18) 그러자 이집트 왕이 산파들을 불러서 말했습니다. “왜 이렇게 하였느냐? 어찌하여 남자 아이들을 살려 두었느냐?”
(18) So the king of Egypt called for the midwives and said to them, "Why have you done this thing, and allowed the boy babies to live?"
(19) Jawab bidan-bidan itu kepada Firaun: "Sebab perempuan Ibrani tidak sama dengan perempuan Mesir; melainkan mereka kuat: sebelum bidan datang, mereka telah bersalin."
(19) 산파들이 파라오에게 말했습니다. “히브리 여자들은 이집트 여자들보다도 훨씬 튼튼합니다. 그래서 히브리 여자들은 우리가 도착하기도 전에 아기를 낳아 버립니다.”
(19) The midwives answered Pharaoh, "Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women; they are vigorous and give birth quickly and their babies are born before the midwife can get to them."
(20) Maka Allah berbuat baik kepada bidan-bidan itu; bertambah banyaklah bangsa itu dan sangat berlipat ganda.
(20) 하나님께서는 산파들에게 은혜를 베풀어 주셨습니다. 이스라엘 백성은 계속해서 수가 늘어났습니다. 그리고 그들은 더 강해졌습니다.
(20) So God was good to the midwives, and the people [of Israel] multiplied and became very strong.
(21) Dan karena bidan-bidan itu takut akan Allah, maka Ia membuat mereka berumah tangga.
(21) 하나님께서는 산파들이 하나님을 두려워하였으므로, 그들에게도 자손을 많이 주셨습니다.
(21) And because the midwives feared God [with profound reverence], He established families and households for them.
(22) Lalu Firaun memberi perintah kepada seluruh rakyatnya: "Lemparkanlah segala anak laki-laki yang lahir bagi orang Ibrani ke dalam sungai Nil; tetapi segala anak perempuan biarkanlah hidup."
(22) 파라오가 모든 백성에게 명령을 내렸습니다. “히브리 사람들에게 남자 아이가 태어나면 그 아이는 나일 강에 던져 버려라. 하지만 여자 아이는 살려 두어도 좋다.”
(22) Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, "Every son who is born [to the Hebrews] must be thrown into the Nile, but every daughter you shall keep alive."
