10:1 - 22:16 = Kumpulan amsal-amsal Salomo
(1) Amsal-amsal Salomo. Anak yang bijak mendatangkan sukacita kepada ayahnya, tetapi anak yang bebal adalah kedukaan bagi ibunya.
(1) 솔로몬의 잠언입니다. 지혜로운 아들은 자기 아버지를 기쁘게 하지만, 어리석은 아들은 자기 어머니의 근심이다.
(1) {Contrast of the Righteous and the Wicked}The proverbs of Solomon: A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish [stubborn] son [who refuses to learn] is a grief to his mother.
(2) Harta benda yang diperoleh dengan kefasikan tidak berguna, tetapi kebenaran menyelamatkan orang dari maut.
(2) 부정하게 얻은 소득은 무가치하지만, 의롭게 살면 생명을 구한다.
(2) Treasures of wickedness and ill-gotten gains do not profit, But righteousness and moral integrity in daily life rescues from death.
(3) TUHAN tidak membiarkan orang benar menderita kelaparan, tetapi keinginan orang fasik ditolak-Nya.
(3) 여호와께서 의로운 사람은 굶주리지 않게 하시지만, 악인의 탐욕은 물리치신다.
(3) The LORD will not allow the righteous to hunger [God will meet all his needs], But He will reject and cast away the craving of the wicked.
(4) Tangan yang lamban membuat miskin, tetapi tangan orang rajin menjadikan kaya.
(4) 게으른 손은 가난하게 만들고, 부지런한 손은 부유하게 만든다.
(4) Poor is he who works with a negligent and idle hand, But the hand of the diligent makes him rich.
(5) Siapa mengumpulkan pada musim panas, ia berakal budi; siapa tidur pada waktu panen membuat malu.
(5) 여름에 일하는 사람은 지혜롭지만, 추수 때에 잠자는 사람은 부끄러움을 당한다.
(5) He who gathers during summer and takes advantage of his opportunities is a son who acts wisely, But he who sleeps during harvest and ignores the moment of opportunity is a son who acts shamefully.
(6) Berkat ada di atas kepala orang benar, tetapi mulut orang fasik menyembunyikan kelaliman.
(6) 의인의 머리에는 복이 임하지만, 악인의 입에는 난폭한 말이 숨어 있다.
(6) Blessings are on the head of the righteous [the upright, those in right standing with God], But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
(7) Kenangan kepada orang benar mendatangkan berkat, tetapi nama orang fasik menjadi busuk.
(7) 의인을 기억하는 것은 복된 일이지만, 악한 사람의 이름은 곧 기억에서 사라진다.
(7) The memory of the righteous [person] is a [source of] blessing, But the name of the wicked will [be forgotten and] rot [like a corpse].
(8) Siapa bijak hati, memperhatikan perintah-perintah, tetapi siapa bodoh bicaranya, akan jatuh.
(8) 마음이 지혜로운 자는 명령에 순종하지만, 미련한 수다쟁이는 망할 뿐이다.
(8) The wise in heart [are willing to learn so they] will accept and obey commands (instruction), But the babbling fool [who is arrogant and thinks himself wise] will come to ruin.
(9) Siapa bersih kelakuannya, aman jalannya, tetapi siapa berliku-liku jalannya, akan diketahui.
(9) 똑바로 걷는 자는 안전하게 걷지만, 굽은 길을 걷는 자는 악행이 모두 드러난다.
(9) He who walks in integrity and with moral character walks securely, But he who takes a crooked way will be discovered and punished.
(10) Siapa mengedipkan mata, menyebabkan kesusahan, siapa bodoh bicaranya, akan jatuh.
(10) 눈짓하는 사람은 이웃에게 쓰라린 아픔을 주고, 미련한 수다쟁이는 망할 것이다.
(10) He who [maliciously] winks the eye [of evil intent] causes trouble; And the babbling fool [who is arrogant and thinks himself wise] will come to ruin.
(11) Mulut orang benar adalah sumber kehidupan, tetapi mulut orang fasik menyembunyikan kelaliman.
(11) 의인의 입은 생명샘이지만, 악인의 입에는 난폭한 말이 숨어 있다.
(11) The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life and his words of wisdom are a source of blessing, But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence and evil.
(12) Kebencian menimbulkan pertengkaran, tetapi kasih menutupi segala pelanggaran.
(12) 미움은 다툼을 일으키나, 사랑은 모든 허물을 덮는다.
(12) Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers and overwhelms all transgressions [forgiving and overlooking another's faults].
(13) Di bibir orang berpengertian terdapat hikmat, tetapi pentung tersedia bagi punggung orang yang tidak berakal budi.
(13) 명철한 사람의 입술에는 지혜가 있지만, 지혜 없는 자의 등은 채찍으로 때려야 한다.
(13) On the lips of the discerning, [skillful and godly] wisdom is found, But discipline and the rod are for the back of the one who is without common sense and understanding.
(14) Orang bijak menyimpan pengetahuan, tetapi mulut orang bodoh adalah kebinasaan yang mengancam.
(14) 지혜로운 사람은 지식을 담고 있지만, 미련한 자의 입은 파멸을 가져온다.
(14) Wise men store up and treasure knowledge [in mind and heart], But with the mouth of the foolish, ruin is at hand.
(15) Kota yang kuat bagi orang kaya ialah hartanya, tetapi yang menjadi kebinasaan bagi orang melarat ialah kemiskinan.
(15) 부자의 재물은 그에게 안전한 성과 같지만, 가난한 자의 빈궁은 그에게 파멸을 가져다 준다.
(15) The rich man's wealth is his fortress; The ruin of the poor is their poverty.
(16) Upah pekerjaan orang benar membawa kepada kehidupan, penghasilan orang fasik membawa kepada dosa.
(16) 의인의 품삯은 생명이지만, 악인은 죄값만 받게 될 것이다.
(16) The wages of the righteous [the upright, those in right standing with God] is [a worthwhile, meaningful] life, The income of the wicked, punishment.
(17) Siapa mengindahkan didikan, menuju jalan kehidupan, tetapi siapa mengabaikan teguran, tersesat.
(17) 책망을 듣는 자는 생명길로 가지만, 책망을 무시하는 자는 죽음의 길로 나아간다.
(17) He who learns from instruction and correction is on the [right] path of life [and for others his example is a path toward wisdom and blessing], But he who ignores and refuses correction goes off course [and for others his example is a path toward sin and ruin].
(18) Siapa menyembunyikan kebencian, dusta bibirnya; siapa mengumpat adalah orang bebal.
(18) 미움을 감추는 자는 거짓 입술을 가진 사람이요, 남을 헐뜯는 자는 바보이다.
(18) He who hides hatred has lying lips, And he who spreads slander is a fool.
(19) Di dalam banyak bicara pasti ada pelanggaran, tetapi siapa yang menahan bibirnya, berakal budi.
(19) 말이 많으면 죄가 생기지만, 자기 혀를 잘 조절하는 자는 지혜롭다.
(19) When there are many words, transgression and offense are unavoidable, But he who controls his lips and keeps thoughtful silence is wise.
(20) Lidah orang benar seperti perak pilihan, tetapi pikiran orang fasik sedikit nilainya.
(20) 의인의 혀는 최고의 은이지만, 악인의 마음은 무가치하다.
(20) The tongue of the righteous is like precious silver (greatly valued); The heart of the wicked is worth little.
(21) Bibir orang benar menggembalakan banyak orang, tetapi orang bodoh mati karena kurang akal budi.
(21) 의인의 입술은 많은 사람을 가르치지만, 미련한 자는 지식이 없어 죽고 만다.
(21) The lips of the righteous feed and guide many, But fools [who reject God and His wisdom] die for lack of understanding.
(22) Berkat Tuhanlah yang menjadikan kaya, susah payah tidak akan menambahinya.
(22) 여호와의 복으로 부자가 되면 그 재물에는 근심이 따르지 않는다.
(22) The blessing of the LORD brings [true] riches, And He adds no sorrow to it [for it comes as a blessing from God].
(23) Berlaku cemar adalah kegemaran orang bebal, sebagaimana melakukan hikmat bagi orang yang pandai.
(23) 미련한 자는 악한 행동에서 쾌락을 찾지만, 슬기로운 자는 지혜에서 즐거움을 얻는다.
(23) Engaging in evil is like sport to the fool [who refuses wisdom and chases sin], But to a man of understanding [skillful and godly] wisdom brings joy.
(24) Apa yang menggentarkan orang fasik, itulah yang akan menimpa dia, tetapi keinginan orang benar akan diluluskan.
(24) 악인은 두려워하는 것을 당하게 되고, 의인은 그 바라는 것을 얻게 된다.
(24) What the wicked fears will come upon him, But the desire of the righteous [for the blessings of God] will be granted.
(25) Bila taufan melanda, lenyaplah orang fasik, tetapi orang benar adalah alas yang abadi.
(25) 폭풍이 지나갈 때, 악인은 같이 휩쓸려 사라지나, 의인은 영원히 견고하다.
(25) When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, But the righteous has an everlasting foundation.
(26) Seperti cuka bagi gigi dan asap bagi mata, demikian si pemalas bagi orang yang menyuruhnya.
(26) 게으른 종은 그 주인에게 고통이 된다. 그들은 눈에 매운 연기 같고, 상한 이빨에 신 포도주 같다.
(26) Like vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, So is the lazy one to those who send him to work.
(27) Takut akan TUHAN memperpanjang umur, tetapi tahun-tahun orang fasik diperpendek.
(27) 여호와를 경외하면 오래 살지만, 악인은 오래 살지 못한다.
(27) The [reverent] fear of the LORD [worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect] prolongs one's life, But the years of the wicked will be shortened.
(28) Harapan orang benar akan menjadi sukacita, tetapi harapan orang fasik menjadi sia-sia.
(28) 의인의 소망은 이루어져 즐거움을 주나, 악인의 소망은 끊어진다.
(28) The hope of the righteous [those of honorable character and integrity] is joy, But the expectation of the wicked [those who oppose God and ignore His wisdom] comes to nothing.
(29) Jalan TUHAN adalah perlindungan bagi orang yang tulus, tetapi kebinasaan bagi orang yang berbuat jahat.
(29) 여호와의 가르침은 의인의 피난처가 되지만, 악을 행하는 사람에게는 파멸의 원인이 된다.
(29) The way of the LORD is a stronghold to the upright, But it is ruin to those who do evil.
(30) Orang benar tidak terombang-ambing untuk selama-lamanya, tetapi orang fasik tidak akan mendiami negeri.
(30) 의인은 결코 뿌리가 뽑히지 않으나, 악인은 땅에서 오래 살지 못한다.
(30) The [consistently] righteous will never be shaken, But the wicked will not inhabit the earth.
(31) Mulut orang benar mengeluarkan hikmat, tetapi lidah bercabang akan dikerat.
(31) 의인의 입은 지혜를 말하지만, 사악한 혀는 잘릴 것이다.
(31) The mouth of the righteous flows with [skillful and godly] wisdom, But the perverted tongue will be cut out.
(32) Bibir orang benar tahu akan hal yang menyenangkan, tetapi mulut orang fasik hanya tahu tipu muslihat.
(32) 의인의 입술은 적절한 말을 하지만, 악인의 입은 사악한 것만 말한다.
(32) The lips of the righteous know (speak) what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked knows (speaks) what is perverted (twisted).
