(1) Manusia dapat menimbang-nimbang dalam hati, tetapi jawaban lidah berasal dari pada TUHAN.
(1) 마음의 계획은 사람이 세우지만, 그 일을 이루시는 분은 여호와이시다.
(1) {Contrast the Upright and the Wicked}The plans and reflections of the heart belong to man, But the [wise] answer of the tongue is from the LORD.
(2) Segala jalan orang adalah bersih menurut pandangannya sendiri, tetapi Tuhanlah yang menguji hati.
(2) 사람의 행위가 자기 보기에는 모두 깨끗하여도, 여호와께서는 마음을 살피신다.
(2) All the ways of a man are clean and innocent in his own eyes [and he may see nothing wrong with his actions], But the LORD weighs and examines the motives and intents [of the heart and knows the truth].
(3) Serahkanlah perbuatanmu kepada TUHAN, maka terlaksanalah segala rencanamu.
(3) 너의 일을 여호와께 맡겨라. 그러면 너의 계획이 성공할 것이다.
(3) Commit your works to the LORD [submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance].
(4) TUHAN membuat segala sesuatu untuk tujuannya masing-masing, bahkan orang fasik dibuat-Nya untuk hari malapetaka.
(4) 여호와께서 모든 것을 자기 목적대로 지으셨나니, 악인이 받을 재앙도 만드셨다.
(4) The LORD has made everything for its own purpose, Even the wicked [according to their role] for the day of evil.
(5) Setiap orang yang tinggi hati adalah kekejian bagi TUHAN; sungguh, ia tidak akan luput dari hukuman.
(5) 마음이 교만한 자는 여호와께서 미워하시며, 반드시 그들을 처벌하신다.
(5) Everyone who is proud and arrogant in heart is disgusting and exceedingly offensive to the LORD; Be assured he will not go unpunished.
(6) Dengan kasih dan kesetiaan, kesalahan diampuni, karena takut akan TUHAN orang menjauhi kejahatan.
(6) 사랑과 신실함으로 죄를 용서받고, 여호와를 경외함으로 악을 멀리하게 된다.
(6) By mercy and lovingkindness and truth [not superficial ritual] wickedness is cleansed from the heart, And by the fear of the LORD one avoids evil.
(7) Jikalau TUHAN berkenan kepada jalan seseorang, maka musuh orang itupun didamaikan-Nya dengan dia.
(7) 사람의 행위가 여호와를 기쁘시게 하면, 그 사람의 원수까지도 화목하게 하신다.
(7) When a man's ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
(8) Lebih baik penghasilan sedikit disertai kebenaran, dari pada penghasilan banyak tanpa keadilan.
(8) 적은 재물로 의롭게 사는 것이, 부정하게 얻은 재물을 쌓아 놓고 사는 것보다 낫다.
(8) Better is a little with righteousness Than great income [gained] with injustice.
(9) Hati manusia memikir-mikirkan jalannya, tetapi Tuhanlah yang menentukan arah langkahnya.
(9) 사람은 자기 마음에 앞날을 계획하지만, 그 걸음을 정하시는 이는 여호와이시다.
(9) A man's mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], But the LORD directs his steps and establishes them.
(10) Keputusan dari Allah ada di bibir raja, kalau ia mengadili mulutnya tidak berbuat salah.
(10) 왕의 입술은 지혜를 말하고, 그의 입은 바른 것에서 떠나지 말아야 한다.
(10) A divine decision [given by God] is on the lips of the king [as His representative]; His mouth should not be unfaithful or unjust in judgment.
(11) Timbangan dan neraca yang betul adalah kepunyaan TUHAN, segala batu timbangan di dalam pundi-pundi adalah buatan-Nya.
(11) 정확한 저울과 천평은 여호와께서 정하신 것이요, 모든 저울추 역시 그분이 정하신다.
(11) A just balance and [honest] scales are the Lord's; All the weights of the bag are His concern [established by His eternal principles].
(12) Melakukan kefasikan adalah kekejian bagi raja, karena takhta menjadi kokoh oleh kebenaran.
(12) 왕은 악한 일을 미워하고, 공의로 왕위를 튼튼히 세워야 한다.
(12) It is repulsive [to God and man] for kings to behave wickedly, For a throne is established on righteousness (right standing with God).
(13) Bibir yang benar dikenan raja, dan orang yang berbicara jujur dikasihi-Nya.
(13) 왕은 정직한 입술을 기뻐하고, 진리를 말하는 사람을 귀하게 여겨야 한다.
(13) Righteous lips are the delight of kings, And he who speaks right is loved.
(14) Kegeraman raja adalah bentara maut, tetapi orang bijak memadamkannya.
(14) 왕이 노하면 사람을 죽일 수 있으나, 지혜로운 자는 그 진노를 풀게 한다.
(14) The wrath of a king is like a messenger of death, But a wise man will appease it.
(15) Wajah raja yang bercahaya memberi hidup dan kebaikannya seperti awan hujan musim semi.
(15) 왕의 얼굴빛이 환하면 살 수 있으니, 그의 은총은 봄비를 담은 구름과 같다.
(15) In the light of the king's face is life, And his favor is like a cloud bringing the spring rain.
(16) Memperoleh hikmat sungguh jauh melebihi memperoleh emas, dan mendapat pengertian jauh lebih berharga dari pada mendapat perak.
(16) 지혜를 얻는 것이 금을 얻는 것보다 낫고, 명철을 얻는 것이 은을 얻는 것보다 낫다.
(16) How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver.
(17) Menjauhi kejahatan itulah jalan orang jujur; siapa menjaga jalannya, memelihara nyawanya.
(17) 악을 피하면 정직한 자의 길이 뚫리나니, 그 길을 걷는 사람은 자기 생명을 지킨다.
(17) The highway of the upright turns away and departs from evil; He who guards his way protects his life (soul).
(18) Kecongkakan mendahului kehancuran, dan tinggi hati mendahului kejatuhan.
(18) 교만은 파멸의 선봉장이고, 거만한 마음은 넘어짐의 앞잡이다.
(18) Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.
(19) Lebih baik merendahkan diri dengan orang yang rendah hati dari pada membagi rampasan dengan orang congkak.
(19) 겸손한 자들과 함께 사는 것이, 교만한 자들과 빼앗은 물건을 나누는 것보다 낫다.
(19) It is better to be humble in spirit with the lowly Than to divide the spoil with the proud (haughty, arrogant).
(20) Siapa memperhatikan firman akan mendapat kebaikan, dan berbahagialah orang yang percaya kepada TUHAN.
(20) 가르침에 순종하는 사람은 잘 되며, 여호와를 신뢰하는 자는 복이 있다.
(20) He who pays attention to the word [of God] will find good, And blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) is he who trusts [confidently] in the LORD.
(21) Orang yang bijak hati disebut berpengertian, dan berbicara manis lebih dapat meyakinkan.
(21) 마음이 지혜로운 자는 슬기롭다 하고, 사람들은 부드러운 말을 잘 듣는다.
(21) The wise in heart will be called understanding, And sweet speech increases persuasiveness and learning [in both speaker and listener].
(22) Akal budi adalah sumber kehidupan bagi yang mempunyainya, tetapi siksaan bagi orang bodoh ialah kebodohannya.
(22) 명철한 사람은 생명샘을 가진 자이나, 미련한 사람은 그 미련함 때문에 벌을 받는다.
(22) Understanding (spiritual insight) is a [refreshing and boundless] wellspring of life to those who have it, But to give instruction and correction to fools is foolishness.
(23) Hati orang bijak menjadikan mulutnya berakal budi, dan menjadikan bibirnya lebih dapat meyakinkan.
(23) 지혜로운 자의 마음은 그의 입을 다스리고, 그의 입술을 잘 가르친다.
(23) The heart of the wise instructs his mouth [in wisdom] And adds persuasiveness to his lips.
(24) Perkataan yang menyenangkan adalah seperti sarang madu, manis bagi hati dan obat bagi tulang-tulang.
(24) 부드러운 말은 송이꿀과 같아서, 영혼에 달며 뼈를 치료한다.
(24) Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweet and delightful to the soul and healing to the body.
(25) Ada jalan yang disangka lurus, tetapi ujungnya menuju maut.
(25) 어떤 길은 바르게 보일지 모르나 결국은 죽음으로 인도한다.
(25) There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, But its end is the way of death.
(26) Rasa lapar bekerja untuk seorang pekerja, karena mulutnya memaksa dia.
(26) 사람은 배가 고파야 일을 하고, 허기져야 일거리를 찾는다.
(26) The appetite of a worker works for him, For his hunger urges him on.
(27) Orang yang tidak berguna menggali lobang kejahatan, dan pada bibirnya seolah-olah ada api yang menghanguskan.
(27) 불량배는 범죄를 꾀하고, 그의 말은 모조리 태워 버리는 불과 같다.
(27) A worthless man devises and digs up evil, And the words on his lips are like a scorching fire.
(28) Orang yang curang menimbulkan pertengkaran, dan seorang pemfitnah menceraikan sahabat yang karib.
(28) 비뚤어진 사람은 다툼을 일으키고, 남의 말을 좋아하는 사람은 친구 사이를 갈라놓는다.
(28) A perverse man spreads strife, And one who gossips separates intimate friends.
(29) Orang yang menggunakan kekerasan menyesatkan sesamanya, dan membawa dia di jalan yang tidak baik.
(29) 사악한 사람은 자기 이웃을 꾀어서 멸망의 길로 인도한다.
(29) A violent and exceedingly covetous man entices his neighbor [to sin], And leads him in a way that is not good.
(30) Siapa memejamkan matanya, merencanakan tipu muslihat; siapa mengatupkan bibirnya, sudah melakukan kejahatan.
(30) 눈짓하는 사람은 음모를 꾸미는 자이며, 입술을 심술궂게 다문 사람은 죄를 저지른다.
(30) He who [slyly] winks his eyes does so to plot perverse things; And he who compresses his lips [as if in a secret signal] brings evil to pass.
(31) Rambut putih adalah mahkota yang indah, yang didapat pada jalan kebenaran.
(31) 백발은 영예로운 면류관이니, 의로운 삶을 통해 얻는다.
(31) The silver-haired head is a crown of splendor and glory; It is found in the way of righteousness.
(32) Orang yang sabar melebihi seorang pahlawan, orang yang menguasai dirinya, melebihi orang yang merebut kota.
(32) 노하기를 더디 하는 사람은 용사보다 낫고, 자기를 다스릴 줄 아는 자는 성을 정복하는 자보다 낫다.
(32) He who is slow to anger is better and more honorable than the mighty [soldier], And he who rules and controls his own spirit, than he who captures a city.
(33) Undi dibuang di pangkuan, tetapi setiap keputusannya berasal dari pada TUHAN.
(33) 사람이 제비를 뽑지만, 그 결정은 여호와께서 하신다.
(33) The lot is cast into the lap, But its every decision is from the LORD.
