25:1 - 29:27 = Amsal-amsal Salomo yang dikumpulkan pegawai-pegawai Hizkia
(1) Juga ini adalah amsal-amsal Salomo yang dikumpulkan pegawai-pegawai Hizkia, raja Yehuda.
(1) 이것들도 솔로몬의 잠언으로서 유다 왕 히스기야의 신하 들이 모은 것입니다.
(1) {Similitudes, Instructions}These are also the proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied:
(2) Kemuliaan Allah ialah merahasiakan sesuatu, tetapi kemuliaan raja-raja ialah menyelidiki sesuatu.
(2) 일을 숨기는 것은 하나님의 영광이요, 일을 잘 살피는 것은 왕의 영광이다.
(2) It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
(3) Seperti tingginya langit dan dalamnya bumi, demikianlah hati raja-raja tidak terduga.
(3) 하늘은 높고 땅은 깊듯이, 왕의 마음은 헤아리기 어렵다.
(3) As the heavens for height and the earth for depth, So the hearts and minds of kings are unsearchable.
(4) Sisihkanlah sanga dari perak, maka keluarlah benda yang indah bagi pandai emas.
(4) 은에서 찌꺼기를 없애라. 그래야 금속 세공업자가 쓸 만한 은그릇을 만들 수 있다.
(4) Take away the dross from the silver, And there comes out [the pure metal for] a vessel for the silversmith [to shape].
(5) Sisihkanlah orang fasik dari hadapan raja, maka kokohlah takhtanya oleh kebenaran.
(5) 왕 앞에서 악한 자를 없애라. 그러면 의로운 사람들을 통하여 왕위가 굳게 세워진다.
(5) Take away the wicked from before the king, And his throne will be established in righteousness.
(6) Jangan berlagak di hadapan raja, atau berdiri di tempat para pembesar.
(6) 왕 앞에서 잘난 체하지 말고, 높은 관리들 자리에 끼어들지 마라.
(6) Do not be boastfully ambitious and claim honor in the presence of the king, And do not stand in the place of great men;
(7) Karena lebih baik orang berkata kepadamu: "Naiklah ke mari," dari pada engkau direndahkan di hadapan orang mulia. Apa matamu lihat,
(7) 말석에서 상석으로 올라오라고 초대받는 것이 대중 앞에서 말석으로 쫓겨 내려가는 것보다 훨씬 낫지 않겠는가?
(7) For it is better that it be said to you, "Come up here," Than for you to be placed lower in the presence of the prince, Whom your eyes have seen.
(8) jangan terburu-buru kaubuat perkara pengadilan. Karena pada akhirnya apa yang engkau dapat lakukan, kalau sesamamu telah mempermalukan engkau?
(8) 네가 눈으로 본 것을 조급하게 법정에 알리지 마라. 나중에 네 이웃이 너를 망신시키면, 어떻게 할 것이냐?
(8) Do not rush out to argue your case [before magistrates or judges]; Otherwise what will you do in the end [when your case is lost and] When your neighbor (opponent) humiliates you?
(9) Belalah perkaramu terhadap sesamamu itu, tetapi jangan buka rahasia orang lain,
(9) 너는 이웃과 다툴 때, 남의 비밀을 말하지 마라.
(9) Argue your case with your neighbor himself [before you go to court]; And do not reveal another's secret,
(10) supaya jangan orang yang mendengar engkau akan mencemoohkan engkau, dan umpat terhadap engkau akan tidak hilang.
(10) 그것을 듣는 자가 너를 망신시킬 것이요, 나쁜 평판이 너를 계속 따라다닐 것이다.
(10) Or he who hears it will shame you And the rumor about you [and your action in court] will have no end.
(11) Perkataan yang diucapkan tepat pada waktunya adalah seperti buah apel emas di pinggan perak.
(11) 경우에 합당한 말은 은쟁반에 놓여진 금사과와 같다.
(11) Like apples of gold in settings of silver Is a word spoken at the right time.
(12) Teguran orang yang bijak adalah seperti cincin emas dan hiasan kencana untuk telinga yang mendengar.
(12) 지혜자의 책망은 들을 줄 아는 귀에 금귀고리와 순금목걸이 같다.
(12) Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold Is a wise reprover to an ear that listens and learns.
(13) Seperti sejuk salju di musim panen, demikianlah pesuruh yang setia bagi orang-orang yang menyuruhnya. Ia menyegarkan hati tuan-tuannya.
(13) 믿을 만한 심부름꾼은 그를 보낸 주인에게 추수하며 땀흘릴 때에 마시는 얼음물 같아서, 그 주인의 마음을 시원하게 한다.
(13) Like the cold of snow [brought from the mountains] in the time of harvest, So is a faithful messenger to those who send him; For he refreshes the life of his masters.
(14) Awan dan angin tanpa hujan, demikianlah orang yang menyombongkan diri dengan hadiah yang tidak pernah diberikannya.
(14) 선물한다고 말만 하는 사람은 비 없는 구름과 바람 같다.
(14) Like clouds and wind without rain Is a man who boasts falsely of gifts [he does not give].
(15) Dengan kesabaran seorang penguasa dapat diyakinkan dan lidah lembut mematahkan tulang.
(15) 끈기 있게 설득하면 통치자의 마음도 움직이고, 부드러운 혀는 뼈도 녹인다.
(15) By patience and a calm spirit a ruler may be persuaded, And a soft and gentle tongue breaks the bone [of resistance].
(16) Kalau engkau mendapat madu, makanlah secukupnya, jangan sampai engkau terlalu kenyang dengan itu, lalu memuntahkannya.
(16) 꿀을 찾았거든, 먹을 만큼만 먹어라. 너무 많이 먹으면 토할 것이다.
(16) Have you found [pleasure sweet like] honey? Eat only as much as you need, Otherwise, being filled excessively, you vomit it.
(17) Janganlah kerap kali datang ke rumah sesamamu, supaya jangan ia bosan, lalu membencimu.
(17) 이웃집에 너무 들락거리지 마라. 그가 싫증내고, 미워할까 두렵다.
(17) Let your foot seldom be in your neighbor's house, Or he will become tired of you and hate you.
(18) Orang yang bersaksi dusta terhadap sesamanya adalah seperti gada, atau pedang, atau panah yang tajam.
(18) 자기 이웃을 해치고자 거짓 증언하는 사람은 몽둥이나 칼, 날카로운 화살과 같다.
(18) Like a club and a sword and a piercing arrow Is a man who testifies falsely against his neighbor (acquaintance).
(19) Kepercayaan kepada pengkhianat di masa kesesakan adalah seperti gigi yang rapuh dan kaki yang goyah.
(19) 어려울 때, 신용이 없는 사람을 의지하는 것은 썩은 이나 다친 발을 의지하는 것과 같다.
(19) Like a broken tooth or an unsteady foot Is confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble.
(20) Orang yang menyanyikan nyanyian untuk hati yang sedih adalah seperti orang yang menanggalkan baju di musim dingin, dan seperti cuka pada luka.
(20) 마음이 무거운 자 앞에서 노래하는 것은 추운 날 남을 발가벗기는 것과 같고, 터진 상처에 식초를 붓는 것과 같다.
(20) Like one who takes off a garment in cold weather, or like [a reactive, useless mixture of] vinegar on soda, Is he who [thoughtlessly] sings [joyful] songs to a heavy heart.
(21) Jikalau seterumu lapar, berilah dia makan roti, dan jikalau ia dahaga, berilah dia minum air.
(21) 네 원수가 굶주리거든 그에게 먹을 것을 주어라. 목말라 하거든 마실 물을 주어라.
(21) If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink;
(22) Karena engkau akan menimbun bara api di atas kepalanya, dan TUHAN akan membalas itu kepadamu.
(22) 그리하면 그는 머리에 숯불을 둔 것같이 부끄러워하고, 여호와께서는 네게 상을 주실 것이다.
(22) For in doing so, you will heap coals of fire upon his head, And the LORD will reward you.
(23) Angin utara membawa hujan, bicara secara rahasia muka marah.
(23) 북풍이 비를 몰고 오듯, 험담하는 혀는 분노를 초래한다.
(23) The north wind brings forth rain; And a backbiting tongue, an angry countenance.
(24) Lebih baik tinggal pada sudut sotoh rumah dari pada diam serumah dengan perempuan yang suka bertengkar.
(24) 옥상 한 구석에서 사는 것이 다투는 아내와 같이 사는 것보다 낫다.
(24) It is better to live in a corner of the housetop [on the flat roof, exposed to the weather] Than in a house shared with a quarrelsome (contentious) woman.
(25) Seperti air sejuk bagi jiwa yang dahaga, demikianlah kabar baik dari negeri yang jauh.
(25) 먼 나라에서 보내 온 좋은 소식은 목마른 영혼에 냉수와 같다.
(25) Like cold water to a thirsty soul, So is good news from a distant land.
(26) Seperti mata air yang keruh dan sumber yang kotor, demikianlah orang benar yang kuatir di hadapan orang fasik.
(26) 의인이 악인에게 굴복하는 것은 우물이 흐려지고, 샘이 썩는 것과 같다.
(26) Like a muddied fountain and a polluted spring Is a righteous man who yields and compromises his integrity before the wicked.
(27) Tidaklah baik makan banyak madu; sebab itu biarlah jarang kata-kata pujianmu.
(27) 꿀을 너무 많이 먹으면 몸에 해롭고, 스스로 잘난 체하는 것도 좋지 않다.
(27) It is not good to eat much honey, Nor is it glorious to seek one's own glory.
(28) Orang yang tak dapat mengendalikan diri adalah seperti kota yang roboh temboknya.
(28) 자기를 다스리지 못하는 자는 성벽이 무너진 성과 같다.
(28) Like a city that is broken down and without walls [leaving it unprotected] Is a man who has no self-control over his spirit [and sets himself up for trouble].
