(1) Orang fasik lari, walaupun tidak ada yang mengejarnya, tetapi orang benar merasa aman seperti singa muda.
(1) 악인은 쫓는 자가 없어도 도망치나, 의인은 사자처럼 담대하다.
(1) {Warnings and Instructions}The wicked flee when no one pursues them, But the righteous are as bold as a lion.
(2) Karena pemberontakan negeri banyaklah penguasa-penguasanya, tetapi karena orang yang berpengertian dan berpengetahuan tetaplah hukum.
(2) 나라가 부패하면 지도자가 자주 바뀌지만, 슬기롭고 지혜로운 지도자는 나라를 안정시킨다.
(2) When a land does wrong, it has many princes, But when the ruler is a man of understanding and knowledge, its stability endures.
(3) Orang miskin yang menindas orang-orang yang lemah adalah seperti hujan deras, tetapi tidak memberi makanan.
(3) 가난한 자를 압제하는 권력자는 곡식을 낟알 하나 남김없이 쓸어 가는 폭우와 같다.
(3) A poor man who oppresses and exploits the lowly Is like a sweeping rain which leaves no food.
(4) Orang yang mengabaikan hukum memuji orang fasik, tetapi orang yang berpegang pada hukum menentangnya.
(4) 법을 무시하는 자는 악인을 칭찬하나, 법을 지키는 자는 악인들과 싸운다.
(4) Those who set aside the law [of God and man] praise the wicked, But those who keep the law [of God and man] struggle with them.
(5) Orang yang jahat tidak mengerti keadilan, tetapi orang yang mencari TUHAN mengerti segala sesuatu.
(5) 악한 사람들은 법을 무시하나, 여호와를 찾는 자들은 온전히 법을 지킨다.
(5) Evil men do not understand justice, But they who long for and seek the LORD understand it fully.
(6) Lebih baik orang miskin yang bersih kelakuannya dari pada orang yang berliku-liku jalannya, sekalipun ia kaya.
(6) 흠없이 행동하는 가난뱅이가 행실이 비뚤어진 부자보다 낫다.
(6) Better is the poor who walks in his integrity Than he who is crooked and two-faced though he is rich.
(7) Orang yang memelihara hukum adalah anak yang berpengertian, tetapi orang yang bergaul dengan pelahap mempermalukan ayahnya.
(7) 법을 지키는 자는 분별이 있는 사람이지만, 불량배의 친구는 아버지를 망신시킨다.
(7) He who keeps the law [of God and man] is a wise and discerning son, But he who is a companion of gluttons humiliates his father [and himself].
(8) Orang yang memperbanyak hartanya dengan riba dan bunga uang, mengumpulkan itu untuk orang-orang yang mempunyai belas kasihan kepada orang-orang lemah.
(8) 고리대금으로 재산을 늘리는 자는 가난한 자에게 후히 베푸는 사람을 위해 재산을 늘릴 뿐이다.
(8) He who increases his wealth by interest and usury (excessive interest) Gathers it for him who is gracious to the poor.
(9) Siapa memalingkan telinganya untuk tidak mendengarkan hukum, juga doanya adalah kekejian.
(9) 법을 지키지 않는 자의 기도는 거짓된 기도이다.
(9) He who turns his ear away from listening to the law [of God and man], Even his prayer is repulsive [to God].
(10) Siapa menyesatkan orang jujur ke jalan yang jahat akan jatuh ke dalam lobangnya sendiri, tetapi orang-orang yang tak bercela akan mewarisi kebahagiaan.
(10) 정직한 자를 미혹하는 자는 자신의 함정에 빠질 것이나, 흠 없는 사람은 복을 받는다.
(10) He who leads the upright astray on an evil path Will himself fall into his own pit, But the blameless will inherit good.
(11) Orang kaya menganggap dirinya bijak, tetapi orang miskin yang berpengertian mengenal dia.
(11) 부자는 스스로 지혜롭다고 여기지만, 명철을 지닌 가난한 사람은 자신을 살핀다.
(11) The rich man [who is conceited and relies on his wealth instead of God] is wise in his own eyes, But the poor man who has understanding [because he relies on God] is able to see through him.
(12) Jika orang benar menang, banyaklah pujian orang, tetapi jika orang fasik mendapat kekuasaan, orang menyembunyikan diri.
(12) 의인이 권력을 잡으면 나라가 잘 되지만, 악인이 권력을 잡으면 백성들이 모조리 피해 도망간다.
(12) When the righteous triumph, there is great glory and celebration; But when the wicked rise [to prominence], men hide themselves.
(13) Siapa menyembunyikan pelanggarannya tidak akan beruntung, tetapi siapa mengakuinya dan meninggalkannya akan disayangi.
(13) 자기 죄를 숨기는 자는 형통하지 못할 것이나, 죄를 자백하고 버리는 자는 긍휼을 얻을 것이다.
(13) He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, But whoever confesses and turns away from his sins will find compassion and mercy.
(14) Berbahagialah orang yang senantiasa takut akan TUHAN, tetapi orang yang mengeraskan hatinya akan jatuh ke dalam malapetaka.
(14) 항상 여호와를 경외하는 사람은 복되지만, 고집쟁이는 재난에 떨어진다.
(14) Blessed and favored by God is the man who fears [sin and its consequence] at all times, But he who hardens his heart [and is determined to sin] will fall into disaster.
(15) Seperti singa yang meraung atau beruang yang menyerbu, demikianlah orang fasik yang memerintah rakyat yang lemah.
(15) 힘 없는 백성을 압제하는 악한 권력자는 으르렁거리는 사자요, 굶주린 곰과 같다.
(15) Like a roaring lion and a charging bear Is a wicked ruler over a poor people.
(16) Seorang pemimpin yang tidak mempunyai pengertian keras penindasannya, tetapi orang yang membenci laba yang tidak halal, memperpanjang umurnya.
(16) 무식한 통치자는 압제만 일삼지만, 부정한 소득을 미워하는 자는 장수할 것이다.
(16) A leader who is a great oppressor lacks understanding and common sense [and his wickedness shortens his days], But he who hates unjust gain will [be blessed and] prolong his days.
(17) Orang yang menanggung darah orang lain akan lari sampai ke liang kubur. Janganlah engkau menahannya!
(17) 살인자는 죽을 때까지 피해 다녀야 한다. 아무도 그를 돕지 않을 것이다.
(17) A man who is burdened with the guilt of human blood (murder) Will be a fugitive until death; let no one support him or give him refuge.
(18) Siapa berlaku tidak bercela akan diselamatkan, tetapi siapa berliku-liku jalannya akan jatuh ke dalam lobang.
(18) 흠없이 행동하는 사람은 위험에서 보호받으나, 그 행실이 비뚤어진 자는 졸지에 망한다.
(18) He who walks blamelessly and uprightly will be kept safe, But he who is crooked (perverse) will suddenly fall.
(19) Siapa mengerjakan tanahnya akan kenyang dengan makanan, tetapi siapa mengejar barang yang sia-sia akan kenyang dengan kemiskinan.
(19) 자기 논을 경작하는 자는 먹을 양식이 많겠지만, 공상만 하는 자는 가난하게 될 것이다.
(19) He who cultivates his land will have plenty of bread, But he who follows worthless people and frivolous pursuits will have plenty of poverty.
(20) Orang yang dapat dipercaya mendapat banyak berkat, tetapi orang yang ingin cepat menjadi kaya, tidak akan luput dari hukuman.
(20) 성실한 사람은 크게 복을 받지만, 일확천금을 노리는 자는 처벌을 면치 못할 것이다.
(20) A faithful (right-minded) man will abound with blessings, But he who hurries to be rich will not go unpunished.
(21) Memandang bulu tidaklah baik, tetapi untuk sekerat roti orang membuat pelanggaran.
(21) 편애하는 것은 좋지 못하다. 사람은 빵 한 조각 때문에 범죄할 수 있다.
(21) To have regard for one person over another and to show favoritism is not good, Because for a piece of bread a man will transgress.
(22) Orang yang kikir tergesa-gesa mengejar harta, dan tidak mengetahui bahwa ia akan mengalami kekurangan.
(22) 구두쇠는 부자 되기에 정신이 없어서, 가난이 자기를 찾아올 줄 예상하지 못한다.
(22) He who has an evil and envious eye hurries to be rich And does not know that poverty will come upon him.
(23) Siapa menegur orang akan kemudian lebih disayangi dari pada orang yang menjilat.
(23) 책망하는 사람이 아첨하는 사람보다 나중에 더욱 귀히 여김을 받을 것이다.
(23) He who [appropriately] reprimands a [wise] man will afterward find more favor Than he who flatters with the tongue.
(24) Siapa merampasi ayah dan ibunya dan menyangka bahwa itu bukan suatu pelanggaran, ia sendiri adalah kawan si perusak.
(24) 부모의 물건을 훔치고도 죄가 아니라고 하는 자는 강도나 마찬가지이다.
(24) He who robs his father or his mother And says, "This is no sin," Is [not only a thief but also] the companion of a man who destroys.
(25) Orang yang loba, menimbulkan pertengkaran, tetapi siapa percaya kepada TUHAN, diberi kelimpahan.
(25) 탐심이 가득한 사람은 분쟁을 일으키지만, 여호와를 의지하는 자는 형통할 것이다.
(25) An arrogant and greedy man stirs up strife, But he who trusts in the LORD will be blessed and prosper.
(26) Siapa percaya kepada hatinya sendiri adalah orang bebal, tetapi siapa berlaku dengan bijak akan selamat.
(26) 자기를 믿는 자는 어리석지만, 지혜를 따르는 사람은 구원을 얻을 것이다.
(26) He who trusts confidently in his own heart is a [dull, thickheaded] fool, But he who walks in [skillful and godly] wisdom will be rescued.
(27) Siapa memberi kepada orang miskin tak akan berkekurangan, tetapi orang yang menutup matanya akan sangat dikutuki.
(27) 가난한 자에게 베푸는 사람은 부족함이 없겠고 가난한 자들을 못 본 체하는 자는 저주를 배로 받을 것이다.
(27) He who gives to the poor will never want, But he who shuts his eyes [from their need] will have many curses.
(28) Jika orang fasik mendapat kekuasaan, orang menyembunyikan diri, tetapi jika mereka binasa, bertambahlah jumlah orang benar.
(28) 악인이 권력을 잡으면 백성들이 숨지만, 악인이 망하면 의인은 번창한다.
(28) When the wicked rise [to power], men hide themselves; But when the wicked perish, the [consistently] righteous increase and become great.
