2:1-24 = Pengintai-pengintai di Yerikho
(1) Yosua bin Nun dengan diam-diam melepas dari Sitim dua orang pengintai, katanya: "Pergilah, amat-amatilah negeri itu dan kota Yerikho." Maka pergilah mereka dan sampailah mereka ke rumah seorang perempuan sundal, yang bernama Rahab, lalu tidur di situ.
(1) 눈의 아들 여호수아는 싯딤이라는 곳에 이르러 두 명의 정탐꾼을 몰래 내보내며 말했습니다. “가서 저 땅을 잘 살펴보고 오시오. 특히 여리고 성을 자세히 살펴보고 오시오.” 그래서 그 두 사람은 여리고로 갔습니다. 그들은 라합이라고 하는 어떤 기생의 집에 들어가 머무르게 되었습니다.
(1) {Rahab Shelters Spies}Joshua the son of Nun sent two men as scouts secretly from Shittim, saying, "Go, view the land, especially Jericho [the walled city]." So they went and came to the house of a prostitute named Rahab, and lodged there.
(2) Kemudian diberitahukanlah kepada raja Yerikho, demikian: "Tadi malam ada orang datang ke mari dari orang Israel untuk menyelidik negeri ini."
(2) 어떤 사람이 여리고 왕에게 가서 말했습니다. “이스라엘 사람들 몇 명이 오늘 밤 이 곳에 와서 이 땅을 몰래 엿보고 있습니다.”
(2) Now the king of Jericho was told, "Behold, men from the sons of Israel have come here tonight to spy and search out the land."
(3) Maka raja Yerikho menyuruh orang kepada Rahab, mengatakan: "Bawalah ke luar orang-orang yang datang kepadamu itu, yang telah masuk ke dalam rumahmu, sebab mereka datang untuk menyelidik seluruh negeri ini."
(3) 그래서 여리고 왕은 라합에게 사람을 보내어 말했습니다. “네 집에 들어간 사람들을 내보내라. 그들은 우리 땅을 엿보러 온 사람들이다.”
(3) So the king of Jericho sent word to Rahab, saying, "Bring out the men who have come to you, who entered your house, because they have come [as spies] to search out all the land."
(4) Tetapi perempuan itu telah membawa dan menyembunyikan kedua orang itu. Berkatalah ia: "Memang, orang-orang itu telah datang kepadaku, tetapi aku tidak tahu dari mana mereka,
(4) 그러자 라합은 이렇게 말했습니다. “그 사람들이 여기에 온 것은 사실이지만, 나는 그들이 어디에서 온 사람들인지 알지 못했고,
(4) But the woman had taken the two men and hidden them; so she said, "Yes, two men came to me, but I did not know where they were from.
(5) dan ketika pintu gerbang hendak ditutup menjelang malam, maka keluarlah orang-orang itu; aku tidak tahu, ke mana orang-orang itu pergi. Segeralah kejar mereka, tentulah kamu dapat menyusul mereka."
(5) 저녁이 되어 성문 닫을 시간이 되자, 그들은 이 집을 떠났습니다. 나는 그들이 어디로 갔는지 모릅니다. 그러나 빨리 뒤쫓아가면 그들을 따라잡을 수 있을지도 모릅니다.”
(5) When it was time to close the [city] gate at dark, the men left; I do not know where they went. Pursue them quickly, for [if you do] you will overtake them."
(6) Tetapi perempuan itu telah menyuruh keduanya naik ke sotoh rumah dan menyembunyikan mereka di bawah timbunan batang rami, yang ditebarkan di atas sotoh itu.
(6) 라합은 이미 그 사람들을 지붕 위에 숨겨 놓은 뒤였습니다. 그들은 말리기 위해 지붕 위에 펼쳐 놓았던 삼대 밑에 숨어 있었습니다.
(6) But [in fact] she had brought the scouts up to the roof and had hidden them under the stalks of flax which she had laid in order on the roof [to dry].
(7) Maka pergilah orang-orang itu, mengejar mereka ke arah sungai Yordan, ke tempat-tempat penyeberangan, dan ditutuplah pintu gerbang, segera sesudah pengejar-pengejar itu keluar.
(7) 라합의 말을 들은 왕의 부하들은 밖으로 나가 이스라엘에서 온 정탐꾼들을 찾아다녔습니다. 그들은 요단 강을 건너는 곳까지 뒤쫓아갔는데, 왕의 부하들이 성을 나가자마자 성문은 닫혔습니다.
(7) So the [king's] men pursued them on the road to the Jordan as far as the fords [east of Jericho]; as soon as the pursuers had gone out after them, the gate [of the city] was shut.
(8) Tetapi sebelum kedua orang itu tidur, naiklah perempuan itu mendapatkan mereka di atas sotoh
(8) 정탐꾼들이 잠자리에 들 준비를 할 때, 라합이 지붕으로 올라와 그들에게 말했습니다.
(8) Now before the two men lay down [to sleep], Rahab came up to them on the roof,
(9) dan berkata kepada orang-orang itu: "Aku tahu, bahwa TUHAN telah memberikan negeri ini kepada kamu dan bahwa kengerian terhadap kamu telah menghinggapi kami dan segala penduduk negeri ini gemetar menghadapi kamu.
(9) “나는 여호와께서 이 땅을 당신들의 백성에게 주셨다는 것을 압니다. 우리는 당신들 때문에 매우 두려워하고 있고, 이 땅에 사는 모든 사람들도 당신들을 무서워하고 있습니다.
(9) and she said to the men, "I know that the LORD has given you the land, and that the terror and dread of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land have melted [in despair] because of you.
(10) Sebab kami mendengar, bahwa TUHAN telah mengeringkan air Laut Teberau di depan kamu, ketika kamu berjalan keluar dari Mesir, dan apa yang kamu lakukan kepada kedua raja orang Amori yang di seberang sungai Yordan itu, yakni kepada Sihon dan Og, yang telah kamu tumpas.
(10) 우리가 무서워하는 것은 여호와께서 당신들을 도우셨기 때문입니다. 우리는 당신들이 이집트에서 나올 때, 여호와께서 홍해의 물을 마르게 하신 사실을 들어서 알고 있습니다. 또 당신들이 요단 강 동쪽에 살고 있던 아모리 사람들의 두 왕 시혼과 옥을 물리쳤다는 사실도 알고 있습니다.
(10) For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan [on the east], to Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.
(11) Ketika kami mendengar itu, tawarlah hati kami dan jatuhlah semangat setiap orang menghadapi kamu, sebab TUHAN, Allahmu, ialah Allah di langit di atas dan di bumi di bawah.
(11) 이 모든 이야기를 들었을 때, 우리는 너무나도 무서웠습니다. 지금 이 성 사람들은 당신들과 싸우는 것을 두려워하고 있습니다. 그것은 당신들의 하나님 여호와께서 위로는 하늘과 아래로는 땅을 다스리는 분이심을 알고 있기 때문입니다.
(11) When we heard it, our hearts melted [in despair], and a [fighting] spirit no longer remained in any man because of you; for the LORD your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.
(12) Maka sekarang, bersumpahlah kiranya demi TUHAN, bahwa karena aku telah berlaku ramah terhadapmu, kamu juga akan berlaku ramah terhadap kaum keluargaku; dan berikanlah kepadaku suatu tanda yang dapat dipercaya,
(12) 그러니 여호와 앞에서 나에게 약속을 해 주십시오. 내가 당신들에게 친절을 베푼 것처럼 당신들도 내 가족에게 친절을 베풀겠다고 말입니다.
(12) And now, please swear [an oath] to me by the LORD, since I have shown you kindness, that you also will show kindness to my father's household (family), and give me a pledge of truth and faithfulness,
(13) bahwa kamu akan membiarkan hidup ayah dan ibuku, saudara-saudaraku yang laki-laki dan yang perempuan dan semua orang-orang mereka dan bahwa kamu akan menyelamatkan nyawa kami dari maut."
(13) 제발 내 아버지와 어머니, 형제 자매들과 그들의 모든 가족을 구해 주겠다고 약속해 주시고, 그렇게 하겠다는 증거를 보여 주십시오.”
(13) and spare my father and my mother and my brothers and my sisters, along with everyone who belongs to them, and let us all live."
(14) Lalu jawab kedua orang itu kepadanya: "Nyawa kamilah jaminan bagi kamu, asal jangan kaukabarkan perkara kami ini; apabila TUHAN nanti memberikan negeri ini kepada kami, maka kami akan menunjukkan terima kasih dan setia kami kepadamu."
(14) 정탐꾼들이 라합에게 말했습니다. “우리의 목숨을 걸고 당신들을 살려 주겠소. 우리가 하고 있는 일을 아무에게도 말하지 마시오. 여호와께서 이 땅을 우리에게 주실 때, 우리는 친절함과 성실함으로 당신들을 대하겠소.”
(14) So the men said to her, "Our lives for yours if you do not tell [anyone about] this business of ours; then when the LORD gives us the land we will show you kindness and faithfulness [and keep our agreement with you]."
(15) Kemudian perempuan itu menurunkan mereka dengan tali melalui jendela, sebab rumahnya itu letaknya pada tembok kota, jadi pada tembok itulah ia diam.
(15) 라합이 살고 있던 집은 성벽 위에 세워져 있었는데, 라합은 정탐꾼들이 창문을 통해 밧줄을 타고 내려갈 수 있도록 해 주었습니다.
(15) {The Promise to Rahab}Then she let them down by a rope through the window, for her house was built into the city wall, so that she was living on the wall.
(16) Berkatalah ia kepada mereka: "Pergilah ke pegunungan, supaya pengejar-pengejar itu jangan menemui kamu, dan bersembunyilah di sana tiga hari lamanya, sampai pengejar-pengejar itu pulang; kemudian bolehlah kamu melanjutkan perjalananmu."
(16) 라합은 그들에게 말했습니다. “언덕으로 올라가십시오. 그 곳으로 가면 왕의 부하들이 당신들을 찾을 수 없을 것입니다. 거기서 삼 일 동안 숨어 있다가 왕의 부하들이 되돌아가면, 당신들의 갈 길을 가십시오.”
(16) And she said to them, "Go [west] to the hill country, so that the pursuers [who have headed east] will not encounter you; hide yourselves there for three days until the pursuers return. Then afterward you can go your way."
(17) Kedua orang itu berkata kepadanya: "Kami akan bebas dari sumpah kami ini kepadamu, yang telah kausuruh kami ikrarkan--
(17) 정탐꾼들은 라합에게 대답했습니다. “우리는 당신과 약속한 이 맹세를 무슨 일이 있어도 꼭 지키겠소.
(17) The men said to her, "We shall be blameless and free from this oath which you have made us swear,
(18) sesungguhnya, apabila kami memasuki negeri ini, haruslah tali dari benang kirmizi ini kauikatkan pada jendela tempat engkau menurunkan kami, dan ayahmu serta ibumu, saudara-saudaramu serta seluruh kaum keluargamu kaukumpulkan di rumahmu.
(18) 우리가 이 땅으로 다시 돌아올 때, 우리가 내려갔던 창문에 이 붉은 밧줄을 매어 놓으시오. 그리고 당신의 아버지와 어머니, 당신의 형제 자매와 모든 가족들을 당신의 집 안에 모아 두시오.
(18) unless, when we come into the land, you tie this cord of scarlet thread in the window through which you let us down, and bring into the house your father and your mother and your brothers and all your father's household [so that they will be safe].
(19) Setiap orang yang keluar nanti dari pintu rumahmu, harus sendiri menanggung akibatnya, kalau darahnya tertumpah, dan kami tidak bersalah; tetapi siapapun juga yang ada di dalam rumahmu, jika ada orang yang menciderainya, kamilah yang menanggung akibat pertumpahan darahnya.
(19) 누구든지 당신의 집 밖으로 나갔다가 죽임을 당하면 그 사람 잘못이오. 우리에게는 책임이 없소. 그러나 만약 당신의 집 안에 있는 사람 중 한 사람에게 손이라도 대면 우리가 책임을 지겠소.
(19) But if anyone goes out the doors of your house into the street, his blood shall be on his own head [that is, his own responsibility], and we shall be blameless and free [from our oath]; however, if a hand is laid on anyone who is with you in the house, his blood shall be on our head.
(20) Tetapi jika engkau mengabarkan perkara kami ini, maka bebaslah kami dari sumpah kepadamu itu, yang telah kausuruh kami ikrarkan."
(20) 우리가 한 이 약속을 아무에게도 말하지 마시오. 만약 이 약속을 다른 사람에게 말하면 우리도 이 약속에 대해 책임을 지지 않겠소.”
(20) But if you tell [anyone] this business of ours, we shall be blameless and free from the oath which you made us swear."
(21) Perempuan itupun berkata: "Seperti yang telah kamu katakan, demikianlah akan terjadi." Sesudah itu dilepasnyalah orang-orang itu pergi, maka berangkatlah mereka. Kemudian perempuan itu mengikatkan tali kirmizi itu pada jendela.
(21) 라합은 “그렇게 하겠습니다” 하고 대답했습니다. 그런 후에 정탐꾼들은 그 곳을 떠나 자기 갈 길을 갔습니다. 그들이 떠난 뒤에 라합은 창문에 붉은 밧줄을 매어 놓았습니다.
(21) She said, "According to your words, so be it." Then Rahab sent them off, and they departed; and she tied the scarlet cord in the window.
(22) Merekapun pergilah dan tiba di pegunungan. Mereka tinggal di sana tiga hari lamanya, sampai pengejar-pengejar itu pulang. Pengejar-pengejar itu telah mencari di mana-mana sepanjang jalan tanpa menemukan mereka.
(22) 정탐꾼들은 라합의 집을 나와 언덕으로 올라갔습니다. 그들은 그 곳에서 삼 일 동안, 머물렀습니다. 왕의 부하들은 이리저리 정탐꾼들을 찾아다녔지만, 그들을 찾지 못한 채 삼 일 만에 성으로 되돌아갔습니다.
(22) They left and went [on their way] to the hill country [west of Jericho], and stayed there [hidden in the caves] three days until the pursuers returned. The pursuers had searched all along the road but had not found them.
(23) Maka pulanglah kedua orang itu, mereka turun dari pegunungan, lalu menyeberang dan sampai kepada Yosua bin Nun, kemudian mereka ceritakan segala pengalaman mereka.
(23) 그 때에 두 사람도 여호수아에게 돌아갔습니다. 그들은 언덕을 내려와 강을 건넜습니다. 그들은 눈의 아들 여호수아에게 가서 자기들에게 일어난 모든 일을 보고했습니다.
(23) Then the two men turned back and came down from the hill country and crossed over [the Jordan] and came to Joshua the son of Nun [at Shittim], and told him everything that had happened to them.
(24) Kata mereka kepada Yosua: "TUHAN telah menyerahkan seluruh negeri ini ke dalam tangan kita, bahkan seluruh penduduk negeri itu gemetar menghadapi kita."
(24) 그들이 여호수아에게 말했습니다. “여호와께서 그 땅 전체를 우리에게 주신 것이 틀림없습니다. 그 땅의 모든 사람들이 우리를 몹시도 무서워하여 두려움에 떨고 있습니다.”
(24) They said to Joshua, "Certainly the LORD has given all the land into our hands; for all the inhabitants of the land have melted [in despair] because of us."
