7:1-26 = Dosa dan hukuman Akhan
(1) Tetapi orang Israel berubah setia dengan mengambil barang-barang yang dikhususkan itu, karena Akhan bin Karmi bin Zabdi bin Zerah, dari suku Yehuda, mengambil sesuatu dari barang-barang yang dikhususkan itu. Lalu bangkitlah murka TUHAN terhadap orang Israel.
(1) 그러나 이스라엘 백성은 여리고 성을 점령할 때, 어떤 물건도 가지지 말라는 여호와의 말씀을 어기는 죄를 지었습니다. 유다 지파의 세라의 아들인 삽디의 손자이며 갈미의 아들이었던 아간이 여호와께 바쳐야 할 물건 중 몇 가지를 가졌던 것입니다. 그래서 여호와께서는 이스라엘에게 크게 화를 내셨습니다.
(1) {Israel Is Defeated at Ai}But the sons of Israel acted unfaithfully and violated their obligation in regard to the things [off limits] under the ban [those things belonging to the LORD], for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, from the tribe of Judah, took some of the things under the ban [for personal gain]. Therefore the anger of the LORD burned against the Israelites.
(2) Yosua menyuruh orang dari Yerikho ke Ai, yang letaknya dekat Bet-Awen, di sebelah timur Betel, dan berkata kepada mereka, demikian: "Pergilah ke sana dan intailah negeri itu." Maka pergilah orang-orang itu ke sana dan mengintai kota Ai.
(2) 여호수아는 몇 사람을 뽑아 여리고에서 아이로 보냈습니다. 아이는 벧엘 동쪽에 있는 벧 아웬에서 가까운 곳입니다. 여호수아는 그들에게 “아이로 가서 그 땅을 정탐하시오”라고 말했습니다. 그 사람들은 아이로 올라가서 정탐했습니다.
(2) Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is near Beth-aven, east of Bethel, and said to them, "Go up and spy out the land." So the men went up and spied out Ai.
(3) Kemudian kembalilah mereka kepada Yosua dan berkata kepadanya: "Tidak usah seluruh bangsa itu pergi, biarlah hanya kira-kira dua atau tiga ribu orang pergi untuk menggempur Ai itu; janganlah kaususahkan seluruh bangsa itu dengan berjalan ke sana, sebab orang-orang di sana sedikit saja."
(3) 얼마 후, 여호수아에게 돌아온 그들이 말했습니다. “아이에는 우리와 싸울 사람이 얼마 되지 않습니다. 백성 모두를 내보낼 필요는 없습니다. 이천 명이나 삼천 명만 보내서 아이 성을 공격하게 하십시오. 우리 백성 모두가 나가서 수고할 필요는 없습니다.”
(3) Then they returned to Joshua and said to him, "Do not make all the people go up [to fight]; have only about two thousand or three thousand men go up and attack Ai; do not make the entire army go up there, for they [of Ai] are few."
(4) Maka berangkatlah kira-kira tiga ribu orang dari bangsa itu ke sana; tetapi mereka melarikan diri di depan orang-orang Ai.
(4) 그래서 약 삼천 명 가량이 아이로 나갔습니다. 그러나 그들은 아이 사람들에게 패하여 도망쳐 왔습니다.
(4) So about three thousand men from the sons of Israel went up there, but they fled [in retreat] from the men of Ai.
(5) Sebab orang-orang Ai menewaskan kira-kira tiga puluh enam orang dari mereka; orang-orang Israel itu dikejar dari depan pintu gerbang kota itu sampai ke Syebarim dan dipukul kalah di lereng. Lalu tawarlah hati bangsa itu amat sangat.
(5) 아이 백성은 이스라엘 사람들을 뒤쫓았습니다. 그들은 성문에서부터 스바림까지 이스라엘을 뒤쫓았습니다. 그들은 언덕을 내려오는 동안에 삼십육 명 정도의 이스라엘 사람들을 죽였습니다. 이스라엘 사람들은 이 일을 보고 매우 두려워하였습니다.
(5) The men of Ai killed about thirty-six of Israel's men, and chased them from the gate as far as [the bluffs of] Shebarim and struck them down as they descended [the steep pass], so the hearts of the people melted [in despair and began to doubt God's promise] and became like water (disheartened).
(6) Yosuapun mengoyakkan jubahnya dan sujudlah ia dengan mukanya sampai ke tanah di depan tabut TUHAN hingga petang, bersama dengan para tua-tua orang Israel, sambil menaburkan debu di atas kepalanya.
(6) 그러자 여호수아는 슬퍼하며 자기 옷을 찢었습니다. 여호수아는 얼굴을 땅에 대고 여호와의 궤 앞에 엎드렸고, 그런 자세로 저녁까지 있었습니다. 이스라엘의 지도자들도 여호수아와 같은 자세를 취했습니다. 그들은 또한 슬픔의 표시로 머리에 재를 뒤집어 썼습니다.
(6) Then Joshua tore his clothes and fell face downward on the ground before the ark of the LORD until evening, he and the elders of Israel; and [with great sorrow] they put dust on their heads.
(7) Dan berkatalah Yosua: "Ah, Tuhanku ALLAH, mengapa Engkau menyuruh bangsa ini menyeberangi sungai Yordan? supaya kami diserahkan kepada orang Amori untuk dibinasakan? Lebih baik kalau kami putuskan tadinya untuk tinggal di seberang sungai Yordan itu!
(7) 그후에 여호수아가 말했습니다. “하나님 여호와여, 주님은 우리 백성이 요단 강을 건널 수 있게 하셨습니다. 그런데 왜 주님은 우리를 이 곳까지 오게 하셔서 아모리 사람에게 죽임을 당하게 하십니까? 우리가 요단 강 저쪽에 머무르는 것이 더 좋을 뻔했습니다.
(7) Joshua said, "Alas, O Lord GOD, why have You brought this people across the Jordan at all, only to hand us over to the Amorites, to destroy us? If only we had been willing to live beyond the Jordan!
(8) O Tuhan, apakah yang akan kukatakan, setelah orang Israel lari membelakangi musuhnya?
(8) 주님, 지금은 아무것도 말씀드릴 것이 없습니다. 이스라엘은 적에게 패했고
(8) O Lord, what can I say now that [the army of] Israel has turned back [in retreat and fled] before their enemies?
(9) Apabila hal itu terdengar oleh orang Kanaan dan seluruh penduduk negeri ini, maka mereka akan mengepung kami dan melenyapkan nama kami dari bumi ini. Dan apakah yang akan Kaulakukan untuk memulihkan nama-Mu yang besar itu?"
(9) 가나안 사람들과 이 땅에 사는 모든 사람들이 이 일에 관해 들으면 곧 우리를 포위하여 우리 모두를 죽일 것입니다. 그렇게 되면 주님의 크신 이름은 어떻게 되는 것입니까?”
(9) For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear about it, and will surround us and cut off our name from the earth. And what will You do for Your great name [to keep it from dishonor]?"
(10) Lalu berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Yosua: "Bangunlah! Mengapa engkau sujud demikian?
(10) 여호와께서는 여호수아에게 말씀하셨습니다. “일어나라! 왜 얼굴을 땅에 대고 있느냐?
(10) So the LORD said to Joshua, "Get up! Why is it that you have fallen on your face?
(11) Orang Israel telah berbuat dosa, mereka melanggar perjanjian-Ku yang Kuperintahkan kepada mereka, mereka mengambil sesuatu dari barang-barang yang dikhususkan itu, mereka mencurinya, mereka menyembunyikannya dan mereka menaruhnya di antara barang-barangnya.
(11) 이스라엘 사람들은 죄를 지었다. 그들은 내가 지키라고 명령한 약속을 깨뜨렸다. 그들은 나와 약속한 대로 하지 않고 나의 것을 훔쳐 내 물건 중 몇 가지를 가졌다. 그들은 거짓말을 했고, 자기를 위해 그 물건들을 가지고 갔다.
(11) Israel has sinned; they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them [to keep]. They have even taken some of the things under the ban, and they have both stolen and denied [the theft]. Moreover, they have also put the stolen objects among their own things.
(12) Sebab itu orang Israel tidak dapat bertahan menghadapi musuhnya. Mereka membelakangi musuhnya, sebab mereka itupun dikhususkan untuk ditumpas. Aku tidak akan menyertai kamu lagi jika barang-barang yang dikhususkan itu tidak kamu punahkan dari tengah-tengahmu.
(12) 그런 까닭에 이스라엘은 적과 싸워 이길 수 없었던 것이다. 그들은 싸우다가 뒤돌아서서 도망치고 말았다. 왜냐하면 너희는 내가 없애라고 한 것을 모두 없애지 않고, 나에게 완전히 바치지 않았기 때문이다. 너희는 내가 바치라고 명령한 모든 것을 없애야 한다. 너희가 그 일을 행하지 않는 한, 나는 너희를 도와 줄 수 없다.
(12) That is why the soldiers of Israel could not stand [and defend themselves] before their enemies; they turned their backs [and ran] before them, because they have become accursed. I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy the things under the ban from among you.
(13) Bangunlah, kuduskanlah bangsa itu dan katakan: Kuduskanlah dirimu untuk esok hari, sebab, demikianlah firman TUHAN, Allah Israel: Hai, orang Israel ada barang-barang yang dikhususkan di tengah-tengahmu; kamu tidak akan dapat bertahan menghadapi musuhmu, sebelum barang-barang yang dikhususkan itu kamu jauhkan dari tengah-tengah kamu.
(13) 이제 일어나라! 내 앞에서 백성들을 거룩하게 하여라. 그들에게 이렇게 전하여라. ‘내일 주님을 위해 스스로를 거룩하게 하여라. 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 너희 중 누군가가 여호와의 명령을 어기고 여호와께 바쳐야 할 것을 가지고 갔다고 말씀하셨다. 그 물건들을 버리지 않는 한 너희는 결코 적과 싸워 이길 수 없을 것이다.
(13) Rise up! Consecrate the people and say, 'Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, for thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: "There are things under the ban among you, O Israel. You cannot stand [victorious] before your enemies until you remove the things under the ban from among you."
(14) Besok pagi kamu harus tampil ke muka suku demi suku dan suku yang ditunjuk oleh TUHAN harus tampil ke muka kaum demi kaum, dan kaum yang ditunjuk oleh TUHAN harus tampil ke muka keluarga demi keluarga dan keluarga yang ditunjuk oleh TUHAN harus tampil ke muka seorang demi seorang.
(14) 내일 아침, 너희의 모든 지파들은 여호와 앞에 가까이 나아오너라. 여호와께서 그 중 한 지파를 고르실 것이다. 그러면 그 지파의 모든 집안들을 여호와 앞에 가까이 나아오게 하여라. 여호와는 그 집안 중에서 한 가족을 고르실 것이다. 그 때 그 가족의 남자들을 여호와 앞에 가까이 나아오게 하여라.
(14) In the morning you shall come forward by your tribes. And it shall be that the tribe which the LORD chooses by lot shall come forward by families, and the family which the LORD chooses shall come forward by [separate] households, and the household which the LORD chooses shall come forward man by man.
(15) Dan siapa yang didapati menyimpan barang-barang yang dikhususkan itu, akan dibakar dengan api, ia dan segala sesuatu yang ada padanya, sebab ia telah melanggar perjanjian TUHAN dan berbuat noda di antara orang Israel."
(15) 바쳐서 없애 버려야 할 것을 감추고 있는 사람을 골라 내면, 그는 불로 죽임을 당할 것이고 그가 가지고 있는 모든 것도 그와 함께 없어질 것이다. 그 사람은 여호와와의 약속을 깨뜨렸으며 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 부끄러운 일을 행하였기 때문이다.’”
(15) It shall be that the one who is chosen with the things under the ban shall be [killed and his body] burned with fire, he and all that belongs to him, because he has transgressed the covenant of the LORD, and because he has done a disgraceful and disobedient thing in Israel.'"
(16) Keesokan harinya bangunlah Yosua pagi-pagi, lalu menyuruh orang Israel tampil ke muka suku demi suku, maka didapatilah suku Yehuda.
(16) 이튿날 아침 일찍, 여호수아는 이스라엘 모든 사람들을 여호와 앞에 서게 했습니다. 이스라엘의 모든 지파가 여호와 앞에 서자 여호와께서는 유다 지파를 뽑으셨습니다.
(16) {The Sin of Achan}So Joshua got up early in the morning and had Israel come forward by tribes, and the tribe of Judah was chosen [by lot].
(17) Ketika disuruhnya tampil ke muka kaum-kaum Yehuda, maka didapatinya kaum Zerah. Ketika disuruhnya tampil ke muka kaum Zerah, seorang demi seorang, maka didapatilah Zabdi.
(17) 그래서 유다 지파의 모든 집안이 여호와 앞에 섰습니다. 여호와는 세라의 집안을 뽑으셨습니다. 그러자 세라의 온 집안이 여호와 앞에 섰습니다. 이번에는 삽디의 가족이 뽑혔습니다.
(17) He had the families of Judah come forward, and the family of the Zerahites was chosen; and he had the family of the Zerahites come forward man by man, and Zabdi was chosen.
(18) Ketika disuruhnya keluarga orang itu tampil ke muka, seorang demi seorang, maka didapatilah Akhan bin Karmi bin Zabdi bin Zerah, dari suku Yehuda.
(18) 그러자 여호수아는 삽디의 가족 모두에게 “여호와 앞으로 나오너라” 하고 말했습니다. 주님은 갈미의 아들 아간을 뽑으셨습니다. 갈미는 삽디의 아들이었고 세라의 손자였습니다.
(18) He brought his household forward man by man; and Achan the son of Carmi, son of Zabdi, son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was chosen.
(19) Berkatalah Yosua kepada Akhan: "Anakku, hormatilah TUHAN, Allah Israel, dan mengakulah di hadapan-Nya; katakanlah kepadaku apa yang kauperbuat, jangan sembunyikan kepadaku."
(19) 여호수아는 아간에게 말했습니다. “아간아, 이스라엘 하나님 여호와께 영광을 돌리고 사실대로 고백하여라. 숨길 생각은 하지 말고 네가 한 일을 내게 말하여라.”
(19) Then Joshua said to Achan, "My son, I implore you, give glory to the LORD, the God of Israel, and give praise to Him [in recognition of His righteous judgments]; and tell me now what you have done. Do not hide it from me."
(20) Lalu Akhan menjawab Yosua, katanya: "Benar, akulah yang berbuat dosa terhadap TUHAN, Allah Israel, sebab beginilah perbuatanku:
(20) 아간이 대답했습니다. “옳습니다. 제가 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께 죄를 지었습니다. 제가 한 일을 말씀드리겠습니다.
(20) So Achan answered Joshua and said, "In truth, I have sinned against the LORD, the God of Israel, and this is what I have done:
(21) aku melihat di antara barang-barang jarahan itu jubah yang indah, buatan Sinear, dan dua ratus syikal perak dan sebatang emas yang lima puluh syikal beratnya; aku mengingininya, maka kuambil; semuanya itu disembunyikan di dalam kemahku dalam tanah, dan perak itu di bawah sekali."
(21) 제가 본 물건 중에는 시날에서 온 아름다운 겉옷이 있었고 이백 세겔 가량의 은과 오십 세겔 가량의 금도 있었습니다. 저는 그것들이 너무나도 갖고 싶어 가지고 왔습니다. 그것들은 지금 제 천막 아래 땅에 묻혀 있습니다. 은은 겉옷 아래에 있습니다.”
(21) when I saw among the spoils [in Jericho] a beautiful robe from Shinar (southern Babylon) and two hundred shekels of silver and a bar of gold weighing fifty shekels, I wanted them and took them. Behold, they are hidden in the ground inside my tent, with the silver underneath."
(22) Lalu Yosua menyuruh orang segera pergi ke kemah itu, dan sesungguhnya, semuanya itu disembunyikan dalam kemah Akhan, dan perak itu ada di bawah sekali.
(22) 여호수아는 몇 사람을 아간의 천막으로 보냈습니다. 그들은 천막으로 달려가 감춘 물건들을 찾아 냈습니다. 은은 외투 아래에 있었습니다.
(22) So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent; and they saw the stolen objects hidden in his tent, with the silver underneath.
(23) Maka mereka mengambil semuanya itu dari dalam kemah, lalu membawanya kepada Yosua dan kepada semua orang Israel, dan mencurahkannya di hadapan TUHAN.
(23) 사람들은 그 물건들을 천막에서 가지고 나와 여호수아와 온 이스라엘 사람들 앞에 놓았습니다. 그리고 여호와 앞에 그 물건들을 펼쳐 놓았습니다.
(23) And they took them from the tent and brought them to Joshua and to all the sons of Israel, and spread them out before the LORD.
(24) Kemudian Yosua, beserta seluruh Israel mengambil Akhan bin Zerah, dan perak, jubah dan emas sebatang itu, anak-anaknya yang laki-laki dan perempuan, lembunya, keledainya dan kambing dombanya, kemahnya dan segala kepunyaannya, lalu semuanya itu dibawa ke lembah Akhor.
(24) 여호수아와 모든 백성들은 세라의 아들 아간을 ‘괴로움’이란 뜻의 아골 골짜기로 데리고 갔습니다. 그들은 은과 외투와 금과 아간의 아들들과 딸들과 소와 나귀와 양들과 천막과 그 밖에 아간이 가지고 있던 모든 것들도 함께 가지고 갔습니다.
(24) Then Joshua and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the [royal] robe, the bar of gold, his sons, his daughters, his oxen, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and everything that he had; and they brought them up to the Valley of Achor (Disaster).
(25) Berkatalah Yosua: "Seperti engkau mencelakakan kami, maka TUHAN pun mencelakakan engkau pada hari ini." Lalu seluruh Israel melontari dia dengan batu, semuanya itu dibakar dengan api dan dilempari dengan batu.
(25) 여호수아가 말했습니다. “어찌하여 네가 우리를 이토록 괴롭게 했단 말이냐? 하지만 이제는 여호와께서 너를 괴롭게 하실 것이다.” 그후에 모든 백성들은 아간과 그의 가족들을 돌로 쳐죽였습니다. 그리고 나서 아간과 그의 가족들을 불로 태웠습니다.
(25) Joshua said, "Why have you brought disaster on us? The LORD will bring you disaster this day." Then all Israel stoned them [to death] with stones; afterward they burned their bodies in the fire.
(26) Sesudah itu didirikanlah di atasnya suatu timbunan batu yang besar, yang masih ada sampai sekarang. Lalu surutlah murka TUHAN yang bernyala-nyala itu. Oleh sebab itu nama tempat itu sampai sekarang disebutkan lembah Akhor.
(26) 그들은 아간의 시체 위에 돌무더기를 쌓았는데, 그 돌무더기는 지금까지도 거기에 있습니다. 그 곳을 ‘괴로움의 골짜기’라고 부르는 것도 이런 이유 때문입니다. 이 일이 있은 후, 여호와께서는 화를 내지 않으셨습니다.
(26) Then they piled up over him a great heap of stones that remains to this day. Then the LORD turned from the fierceness of His anger. Therefore the name of that place has been called the Valley of Achor (Disaster) to this day.
